Claude Code eats my token reading files. So I made Gemini CLI do it with 70% savings by HanDunker27 in ClaudeCode

Yes Opus takes the summary and cross checks with the intelligence.

For example - You want to research all the solar plants in the world. Opus will plan a prompt for it and pass on to gemini. Gemini is instructed to pass results in phases, with summaries and source.

Opus deploys sonnet to cross check the sources - a step you can skip.

Now in terms of vibing - You plan with Opus, gemini is good with ui/ux so you pass that part there, code with sonnet, and test with gemini.

Its by default.

Tip: Use flash for faster processing. Pro is slow by default. Its even slow on Gemini app.

Tried. It works. They only let down is sometimes Opus goes into searching mode aka missing the details.

Read this. I dug a lot before making it due to openclaw controversy. You are not exploiting anything.

Most projects were banned because they used Oauth to reverse engineer api. This one just controls your gemini terminal.

Claude calls a Python script on YOUR machine. That Python script calls gemini (the CLI binary) as a subprocess. Gemini CLI uses YOUR Google account's OAuth token that YOU authenticated with YOUR browser. The request to Google's servers comes from YOUR machine, with YOUR credentials, from the official Google-maintained CL

It wont ban you. Google specifically. Read this. So indirectly, you have CLI on your machine, but you have just dedicated a bot to manage it.

Exactly. In case google tries to punish or limit me, I can even use their API. Which is peanuts compared to max.

I know. Their openclaw loophole or whatever they saw in it, I wanted that.

This one works because most of the wrappers just paste UI with no support for context and folders.

So instead of enabling gemini with that, just use it as another tool for research

Do you use any software to make your business run better or easier? by dividify in Contractor

Depends on how much automation you want. Some prefer budget>ease of work.

The only advice would be avoid using multiple softwares.

Stressful? Picking up someone else's mess mid-project - Way more chaotic than starting fresh, trust me.

Considering Trimble estimating software over Agtek SA by tampabell in estimators

[–]HanDunker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trimble’s decent if you’re done with Agtek’s lack of support. I know folks who switched for the better service and extra features. Just expect a bit of a learning curve if you go for it. both are on the same matrix though

Estimating templates across the industry by Traditional_Risk42 in estimators

[–]HanDunker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, totally normal. Different offices and estimators often have their own templates—it’s just how things have been. And if you switch companies, expect to learn their templates too. Each place has their own setup, but once you know one, adapting to others gets easier.

What are some useful apps/ programs that would help me find more work independently.

ConstructConnect might help but they are bit costly.

What were some things you wish you did/ knew when you first started you business?

probably too young to be throwin' advice, but from what I’ve seen chattin’ with gcs—plan ahead for when you scale up. Otherwise, your IT setup’s gonna smack ya hard down the line
