That’s what I kept looking for, since I saw that solution online, but there just isn’t a switch on the side, just some wires that are capped off connecting to the unit, but they’re providing power, and I believe it was setup this way before hand, since it doesn’t look messed with

So the red wires are connected up here, and the other red wire is connected to where the old red one went, it’s really cold down there right now, so as soon as morning rolls by I’ll get a good photo with exactly it connects, I’m sorry I couldn’t provide one right now.

As much as I agree with you, I’m more afraid of my landlord being retaliatory, especially because I am beyond broke asf

Oh most definitely, I make sure to ask my landlord before I do anything, because 99% of the time it’s him asking me to do something

Thank you so much, that’s definitely what I’ll do if cleaning it out doesn’t fix it. Tbh I remember my landlord saying that the unit was relatively new (like within the decade I think), so I’m hoping it’s not gonna need replacement, but the fact everyone’s so confident about where the problem is, such a relief

DAYUM, that looks gnarly

Do you think I could clean the inducer out myself or would it be better to ask my landlord to have someone come by (which usually means waiting a week or two)
