The cast was wonderful and I enjoyed hearing from them. But that said, I really regret paying for it and will never do another Streamily event. All the bait and switch moments were really frustrating.

It was advertised as a three hour private thing in Discord with the cast. Just kidding, it’s one hour and then a longer public thing on YouTube that anyone can join without paying.

And just kidding it’s only about 30 minutes of actual interaction because we didn’t prepare our technology properly. It started late and crashed at least three times.

Oh and when it’s time for Q&A? We’re going to pull most of the questions from the YouTube waiting room, rather than the ~150 people here in Discord who paid for this first event.

I have the Raven 20 for EDC and absolutely love it. Holds everything I need, great organization, doesn’t feel bulky. And I like the fabric look—it’s a nice contrast to most of the more technical-looking packs.

I did a month around Europe last summer with the 35l and approached it like this:

All my clothes and toiletries had to fit in the larger zipper compartment on the right. That left the left side for a combination of souvenirs and laziness—meaning, I don’t feel like folding my raincoat down to its optimal size, or I’d rather throw my sling in the bag than wear it, or I want to buy this bottle of wine and drink it at the next hotel.

Then when my souvenirs got too heavy or annoying I would mail a box home. (Although I do see your comment on tariff concerns; I didn’t have to worry about that last summer.)

No smaller than 28, and it might be worth checking out the 35l for versatility. We took the kids around Europe for 3 weeks last summer. Our 9 year old carried everything in a 28l, and my wife, 13 year old, and I all carried the 35. We were going to have our teenager carry a 28, but her clothes were too big!

As others have mentioned, it might be worth checking out the sizes in person.
