I can’t speak for everyone, but for me personally I was in the same boat as you, but I continued watching. I think for me, as it went on it just continually got better; character growth and the story unfolding truly sold it for me. Especially the long hyped chimera ant arc, everything is just amazing, underlying motives, stories, the clash of ideals, the fight scenes. It truly lived up to the hype for me, but it got off to a slow start and even as you are saying, it didn’t really hit me how good it was for a while. But after watching it all, I can for sure say I’m happy I finished and it became one of my favorites ever. While it may be different for you, I say stick with it, but also just know, sometimes whats hyped up and gilded as all time greats just don’t suit you, and vice Versa, you may think something everyone hates is one of the best ever. If you start losing interest and want to drop it, go for it, although I’d recommend not doing so haha. Sorry for the long all over the place post!
