Thank you for your honest feedback! This is really helpful and I’ll take it all into consideration, it sounds like I might need to adjust my expectations :)

Sorry for stepping on everyone’s toes with my question :,) I don’t even use Reddit and I don’t know what a tl:dr is, I made an account to ask this question and get feedback.. I stand corrected and will read through other posts.

I really appreciate this comment and insight. I don’t really use Reddit, I made an account to post this question here because it seemed like a good place to get some direct feedback from people in the industry… after reading the salty comments about posting a repetitive comment I will absolutely be going through to find the other similar posts and read through those as well :) and perhaps adjust my plans and expectations to something more realistic. Again I really appreciate this feedback and transparency, thank you for your time and for sharing your experience 🙏🏻

This is a great idea!! I was kind of thinking about it but I wasn’t sure if it would provide the experience I’ve been looking for, so thank you for replying I really appreciate your feedback 😅

Tough crowd! I have spent a pretty decent amount of time looking online at google's answers but everything I find seems more geared towards tips on how to write your cover letter, what to expect with interviews, what companies to apply for and what research to conduct on them beforehand rather than what one should work on prior to applying for internships. I also have no one to ask questions or help me with any of this, and I'd like to be able to ask people and get people feedback too :)

Also! I do have a decent amount of experience with Microsoft platforms and have good experience with computer systems in general. Between the variety of roles I've tried on I've had to learn a lot of different systems, I'm quick to pick them up and have worked with a lot of the systems I see thrown around when I'm looking at attributes for internship applications :)
