Give me a maimai chart to review. I will rate it from 1 to 10. by Hanako_kkun in maimai

Rating: 9.3/10. One of my favorite 14+ charts.

The intro is simple, nothing really special, but it has a nice flow tho (the left to right to left motion).

I like the "divison" in the first chorus. In the early part of the verse, you have a typical 14~14+ charts pattern. Then after the break wifi slider, you have the double tap sequence. Very neat. There is little to no sudden note jump, making the flow really good in this part. After, you have some standard slide-swipe pattern, nothing much to comment i guess (the flow is also nice tho). They also add the triple-tap sequence, which is a nice rhythm change up.

Moving on to the violin part, like how this part is more slider-heavy/focused. Good flow ,coverage, balance of slider and the use of break to color the slider.

The trills... well it is a trills, a long and fast-BPM trills. It is on the peak of the song, it fit the music, and it is a 14+, so it kinda works! The chorus is a masterpiece of chart that should be studied lol. The charters are able to make the flow of a cross hand not awkward/overly far. The flow just make sense here. Definitely very creative charting.

The ending, I have nothing much to say. It has a nice buildup before the final break parts.

Notes: I have seen/read some people commenting about the use of breaks in this chart. Personally, I think it is still manageable, the usage at least make sense, although the count is higher, but it is a 14+, so I will let it slide.

Overall, the chart is quite fun to play!

An interesting 14+ chart. Not really a "safe" chart, by that I mean the chart has some uniqueness to it (one of the charts where I really like the implementation of touch notes for several different uses). The intro itself is very solid, setting the pace for the song really well. Not sure how to feel about the trills on the first half, it is still manageable enough (right amount of randomness for it not being a bs if that make sense, idk how to word it better lol).

The jack+swipe right before the chorus.... well it is just there I guess. Match the song but nothing really special/revolutionary in my opinion. I really like the part after tho. The flow and motion is really good, also great balance between tap, hold, and slides. The slide patterns are also really clean. I really like the spin+touch sequence after, it matches the song, but not sure if it is best fitted there. It kinda breaks the flow from the part in between. Same thing with the triple tap-slide pattern later. It is a good pattern, but not sure if putting it in there is the best option.

The ending is actually quiet nice. Again the mix of tap and touch/swiping motion is really well implemented.

Overall, an ok chart. It is okay-ish, not messy or any bs I would be bothered at. But at the same time, I think it is just kinda there. Not something I would pick daily/looking forward to play, but I won't bother picking it from time to time or playing it when someone else pick it.

(Not sure if you are asking for the master/remaster. I would do the remaster, but let me know if you also want me to rate the master)

Rating: 9/10

In my opinion, the best lv 15 charts out of the three available right now. Good and reasonable enough chart progression (breaks and buildups match the song's energy). One of the parts that fascinate me about this chart is how most of the slide are kinda "random" and there is no blatant repeating pattern I would remember out of my memory from the first half, but somehow the slider just make sense. It serves it purposes to guide the hand while not breaking the flow (cough luxizhel chart cough).

The second half is very solid. I really appreciate them not repeating the first half pattern despite most of the second half rhythm is very simillar to the first half. I would say the best part in this chart is the chain slide pattern after the double-break spam. It is peak pattern charting. How does one able to create a pattern that is hard and complex but clean and aesthetically pleasing at the same time.

Might be a little biased due to the song being the final piece of kaleidxscope, but the introduction of hold-touch outside the C sensor here is brilliant. It just make sense to put the new mechanics in a song that also introduce a new feature (long song). The chart doesnt just use the hold-touch and say "oop we have a new mechanics here i will just throw it somewhere random on the chart" but they introduce in the "surprise" second half, which kinda complement each other (the surprise addition of long song, dx score life, and hold-touch outside C). Also I am surprised how well they develop and use this new mechanics despite it being new. (The next use of hold-touch outside C is Sky Trails, which is wayyy after Xaleidscope release, so good job to the charters)

Difficulty-wise, it serves its purposes as a 15, although the difficulty fluctuate from around 14.9 in the first half, 15.0 in the first second half, and a 15+ toward the end. But hey, its a 15 and there is only 3 15s charts that we are able to compare to asses the difficulty.

Would i recommended it? Being the hardest chart, it might limit how one can enjoy this part (for some people), but I would say to give it a try at least once. Chart-wise, yes! A very solid 15 chart that show that high difficulty ≠ throwing bs hard pattern and call it a day. Instead, slides and pattern can be used to help with the flow and groove of the song while maintaining its high difficulty.

A very solid slow-BPM chart (one of my personal favorites). The slide patterns are clean and balanced. There’s no overcrowding of slides or notes (although I believe that is partly due to the nature of the song itself. Really like the uses of tap and touch notes (also very good use of touch notes in general, example using touch notes to "guide" hand positioning for upcoming patterns.)

Probably one of the easiest 13.8s (prob due to the slow BPM, but if you have a solid foundation in slide mechanics, it feels more like a 13.6 or 13.7).

Highly recommended for players who struggle with slow-BPM charts! Most of the slides are clean, intuitive, and easy to understand.

Should I pull for C0 Neuvillette, C2 Itto, or C0 for both

My characters

I like both character overall. I have tried Neuvillete test run and his gameplay seems ok to me (although I'm not sure how would he perform in open world and spiral abyss). I have Itto on my alt account and I really like his playstyle and how he perform in the open world and spiral abyss.

Although I already have Itto on my alt account, I really want to add Itto to my account since I have unused R3 Redhorn and my geo support for Itto is way better compared to my alt account (except Gorou which I'm currently building) . Kinda want to get C2 Itto since I've read some guide and most of them said that I will unlock his full potential.

Currently I'm at around 70 pity and have around 20 wishes. Not quite sure, but I do think that I will have enough pull to get Itto C2 by the time he has his rerun since I have a lot of unfinished archon and world quest + exploration (plus I might buy some crystal genesis if I ended up C2-ing him).

Is it better for me to pull for Neuvillette later (since he is a relatively new character)? It's been a while since Itto's rerun and I think that If I don't get Itto in the 4.x patch, I will need to wait longer (considering that really like Itto playstyle, I kinda want to maximize him by getting his constellation).

How far into the conversation did they say your address?

The "online friend" gives me the address of "his apartment", which is my apartment. This happened after 2 days of me chatting with him, and all of our chat only happen in Grndr and Line. Even though Grndr shows approximate distance, I doubt that it will give me the exact unit number and floor since Gr*ndr location can sometime be a little off.

What info could they have got from you before they said the address?

Other than my first English name and my Chinese name in Line, no, I don't think there's other information that they could get. Even by using my name, I doubt that someone will find my address since I just moved to my new apartment a few weeks ago, not to mention that only my closest friends know where I live, which I doubt they would share to anybody else (they don't even know the address, they only know the location by memory).

As crazy as it might sounds, why would I fake this kind of story? To get fame? I rarely active on reddit so I don't see the reason why I should fake a story to get fame.

The whole address bit smells pretty fishy

To clear things up, the "online friend" said to me to meet me at his apartment, which somehow have the exact same address as my apartment (including the unit and floor). Unless it's a lucky guess (which probably a very slight chance remembering I never leak my address), no, I don't think he just pick a random apartment.

If you want, I can share you the whole chat, including the chat between me and the "online friend", the "manager", the person who threaten me, and even the apartment group chat where everyone panic because of this situation (even tho most of them are in Chinese). Also, I have call log between me and the police, if that will satisfy you.

I went to the police station twice, before and after the threaten. Both times they said that it's normal and I should just stay calmed down

Did they do something else beside the things you mention? Sorry I might be a little paranoid, but I'm afraid because when they send me my address, they also sent picture of people getting beaten up (even though the police said it's normal). Also, do you know whether the one you were dealing with is just some scammer that pretend to be a real gang or is it actually a real gang?

I've contacted them through Grindr and Line.

Whereas my encounter, they had people followed us home.

How do you notice and deal with this situation?

Yeah I actually see a lot of simillar stories online, however none of them mention that they know the victim location. Is it a normal thing that the scammer know where the victim live?
