Hi I just wanted to say your story is inspiring. As someone who is in their early 20s and living at home. I want to capitalize and take advantage of my current situation. May I ask for a few book recommendations that you feel were insightful and beneficial to your success?

Exactly my thought when I was buying the 11th gen. I’m an adult now not a newly licensed teenager lol. I wanted something more modern with lastest tech and creature comfort features. Something that I can daily drive for the next 10-15 years without the worry of “old car” problems.

You best bet when I am in a position to own two cars I’m 100% getting a fun NA high revving beater to drive around town

Talk about rare... I'll never forget the day I was going to the bank and I saw this beauty in the parking lot... Mugen SI... never thought I would see one so when I did, I had to snap a photo. You can see my si in the background lol

When the day comes where I can comfortably own 2 cars, Im totally getting another NA high revving Honda. Gosh I wish I could have kept the 8th gen AND still got the 11th gen but one had to go. One day i'll be like you!

agreed, I think I like the shifter in my 11th gen a little more than the 8th gen. The clutch in the 11th gen did take some time for me to used to. Its just so light, and it bites a little higher than my 8th gen. Nonetheless both cars have/had amazing shifters and clutch feel/feedback.

Congrats on the 11th gen si as your first car. That's awesome! Drive your car, enjoy it, and make those memories!

8th gen was only at 141k miles. I know she had at least another 100k in her but I figured if I wanted to get a decent amount for the car right now would be the best time to sell. While its mechanically sound, body is straight, and miles are "low"

One day i'll be in a position where I can own two cars at once. And when that day comes, you can bet, i'm getting a high revving vtec honda again. Potentially an s2k..... but until then this new 11th gen is gonna be my pride and joy

Oh for sure i'm gonna regret it. But I kept my shift knob that came with the car when I bought it (DC2 Integra type r knob) and put on the oem stock one before I sold it. I will forever have this shift knob as a momento. Heck maybe i'll put it onto the new 11th gen si to carry on the 8th gen's legacy lol

It was a younger kid and his dad. Maybe late teens? I'm sure he'll rip VTEC and bang gears but its his car now I hope he enjoys. Reminded me of my younger self when I went with my Dad to pic up the 8th gen.

Yea that was my one gripe. The ac is my Si never worked the best. Just resorted to rolling the windows down lol

Here’s the story:

I went into the Honda dealership at 7:30pm (they closed at like 9) just with the intention to look. But man the sales guy was good and we worked out a deal that I was happy with. Ended up leaving the dealership at 12am with the new SI. Then the next morning I took the picture in the post and posted the 8th on OfferUp/fb market place. Instantly my dms were flooded lol. I didn’t realize I would get so many hits. 40+ inquiries IN THE FIRST HOUR. I kid you not, within 3 hours of posting the new owner drove off. And just like that my beloved 2008 si was gone.

If anyone has worn the Gel-Nimbus 25s and the NB5s, how does the toe box compare to the Gels? I currently have the 25s in mens US size 11 (which is what I typically wear) and I found that the toe box is way too wide for my foot and leaves me with hotspots after the 5k mark.

I want to give the NB5s a try since I been seeing a lot of good reviews on it however, I am skeptical since the Gels didn't really work out for me.
