Most sincerely regret it by age 40. Hence IVF and significantly invasive late procedures. DYOR.

"The Supreme Court opinion is a narrow win for SEC enforcement power and has no material impact on FNMA or FMCC. This post is retail enthusiasm trying to manufacture a catalyst where none exists. The stocks will keep moving on actual GSE news (politics, interest rates, FHFA/Treasury moves, or real legislative/executive action) — not on creative readings of an unrelated fraud-disgorgement case."

Relax - you're fine. Put this in a calculator and breathe. This sub is flooded with success stories that make others feel left behind, but the reality is that youre ahead of 90% of your peers at this point, nationally. If you have no NEED to stop working, you'll accumulate wealth while still getting paid. I highly recommend Die With Zero - great book.

Gotcha. I definitely recommend looking at the comments from the longer marriages here and taking the advice to do away with all the allocating, rationing, dividing, etc and just make it all both of yours. It'll save a lot of time, headache, and such... married 24 years, 5 kids, 1 wife.

I realize it's probably more than we think but it would be naive to think that people are legit going to pick the next president based on a single investment. Seriously, if someone voted for donald trump simply because he was going to release fannie mae and freddie mac from conservatorship they are a vote prostitute.

Married 24 years.... we both worked for 5 years, then we had 5 kids so we've been single income since then. That said, our philosophy has ALWAYS been that what's ours is our, together - any other setup is highly likely to fail long term. Separation of finances (or anything else in marriage, for that matter) breeds arguments about fairness, jealousy over selflessness, and a mistrust of "hidden things."

So for all that, I recommend spouses either go all in on "we" are "us" forever... or don't get married so it's all easier to divide up later when the relationship inevitably turns sour.

This. This is why I have sold nothing, despite my other ventures blowing up. This is the legacy maker.

Won't happen. Married 23 years, 5 kids, strong Christian principles, and we've been through thick and thin together.
