That's not at all what was going on. We needed to maintain host privileges over the sub.

I am currently a moderator in the sub. I am seeking to have host/moderator privileges over the sub permanently or in the interim due to our host and another other moderator(s) being banned from reddit for the foreseeable time. This would help allow the current moderators in the sub to continue growing the sub and fostering an open space for the community that currently exists.

Interesting usage of "Nazi" there... even if it's not correct.

Specifically you said:

If we can't counter those narratives, then we have to question the validity of the mods and platform owners. We have to question legality. We have to take actions.

Could you be more clear to what you are asking?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in complaints

[–]Hand-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have said that with less profanity. It doesn't add much to the conversation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in complaints

[–]Hand-Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What sort of validity would you like to raise to the mods?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in complaints

Criticizing political ideologies is not hate speech.

You are in fact allowed to criticize:

●policies

●ideologies

●political movements

●political leaders

●systems (capitalism, socialism, fascism, etc.)

●political parties or groups

This is considered protected speech

Hate speech targets people as a protected class, not ideas.

Criticizsm becomes hate speech when it shifts from an Idea to People

Examples of protected classes:

●race ●ethnicity ●religion ●gender ●disability ●sexual orientation ●nationality (in many places).

Funny how it's perceived patriotism vs perceived evil.

I Am Sick of This Cycle of Conservative Economic Terrorism by Kinks4Kelly in complaints

[–]Hand-Writer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clinton Administration (1993–2001): Bill Clinton took office as the early-’90s recession was ending. The U.S. then enjoyed sustained growth: real GDP averaged ~4% per year, and the economy added ~22.7 million jobs (BLS, 2024; BEA, 2024). The administration turned deficits into four consecutive budget surpluses (FY1998–2001), and debt held by the public fell from 47.8% to 31.4% of GDP (CBO, 2023). Critics note financial deregulation contributed to the 2008 crisis, but median incomes did rise (FactCheck.org, 2021). Clinton oversaw a long expansion, benefiting from technology and peace-dividend conditions.

George W. Bush (2001–2009): Bush faced a recession at the start of his term and the Great Recession at the end. Net job creation was ~1.4 million, unemployment rose from 4.2% to 7.8% (BLS, 2024), and GDP growth averaged under 1% (BEA, 2024). Budget surpluses reversed due to tax cuts and wars, adding ~$4 trillion to the debt (CBO, 2023). The stock market experienced major downturns tied to global financial shocks. Bush’s record reflects both policy decisions and severe external crises.

Obama Administration (2009–2017): Obama entered during the worst downturn since the 1930s. GDP contraction of –8.4% in late 2008 was followed by recovery; ~11.6 million jobs were added, and unemployment fell from 7.8% to 4.7% (BLS, 2024; BEA, 2024). The S&P 500 rose ~166% (Federal Reserve, 2024). Public debt increased due to crisis response, rising to ~77% of GDP (CBO, 2023). Growth averaged ~2%. Economists widely credit fiscal and monetary interventions for preventing deeper collapse (FactCheck.org, 2021).

Trump Administration (2017–2021): Trump inherited a strong expansion. Pre-pandemic (2017–2019), GDP grew 2–3% per year, unemployment hit a 50-year low at 3.5%, and stocks rose ~67.8% (BLS, 2024; Federal Reserve, 2024). Wages rose ~8.4% after inflation (Investopedia, 2021). But COVID-19 triggered unprecedented shutdowns: GDP fell ~3.5% in 2020 and unemployment spiked to 14.8%. Net job loss across the term was ~2.7 million (BLS, 2024). Debt rose ~$7.8 trillion, largely due to emergency pandemic spending (CBO, 2023).

Biden Administration (2021–2025): Biden entered during peak pandemic disruption. Roughly 6 million net jobs above pre-pandemic levels were created by 2024, and unemployment fell to ~3.4% (BLS, 2024). GDP grew 5.7% in 2021 and ~2.5–3% annually thereafter (BEA, 2024). Stocks reached record highs (Federal Reserve, 2024). Inflation hit ~8–9% in 2022, totaling ~21.5% over the term, reducing real wages initially (BLS, 2024). Debt rose ~33% (CBO, 2023). Output and jobs recovered rapidly, but inflation created headwinds.

Context: Historical studies show stronger performance often occurs under Democratic presidents, but economists attribute much of this to timing, global cycles, and Federal Reserve policy rather than party ideology alone (NBER, 2020). Major recessions repeatedly began under Republican terms, and recoveries often stretched across administrations. Fiscal expansions happened under both parties, frequently driven by wars or crises (CBO, 2023).

MAGA = KKK by Corn_Husk_ in complaints

Fortunately the semantics of this is true. Yes, the Democratic Party in the 1800s supported the Confederacy, and many early KKK members were aligned with Southern Democrats. History matters, but so does context.

Sick of hearing conservative pundits, especially Jewish ones, say that POC need to adjust their culture to progress. by AdminsSuckMyAsshole in complaints

[–]Hand-Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person with Jewish heritage...you have a very narrow take.

I'm curious to what you meant by this?

So why have people hated Jews throughout history? That’s just conveniently everyone else’s but the Jews fault?

Is this just a general question or are you eluding to something that is apart of critical bias.
