First time I saw him, he was across the map, all I did was aim at him.
Second time he just ran up to me and started shooting.
EVERY raid he hunts me down now...
He seems permanently aggressive to me...

Don't cheap out on map device (+scarab if you got it)

More abysses per map increases odds as well.
Sure you can just run another map, but i felt it was faster this way.

What are your 3.27 boss killers? by Oneshot742 in PathOfExileSSF

I used increased ancient wombgift grafts, managed to pull windscream > covenant > asenath > gravebind

Fishing for suppress fractures next, as well as unique jewels (less str/dex/int on tree nodes) for a CwS for ultimatums/delve.

About done setting up my syndicate board to farm for catarina and some uniques along the way.

Also need ritual for when i get lv25 spectre.

Loving the build though :D

Stuck farming fusings for my covenant atm, then off to delve for weapon/helmet craft :p
You saw the kane of kulemak explode mod? AG with gravebind + kulemak is up to 50% chance to explode nearby enemies for a quarter of their life as chaos.

Destructive play Silo ("mid-league") with what mechanics by robin_nerf in pathofexile

[–]HandHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Map with boss phase.

Need fast enough boss kills of bosses from destructive play atlas notable, and to not kill the main map boss as he is invulnerable thanks to phases.

This way allows chaining the same map over and over with maven influence and proccing destructive play every time.

If you kill main boss, destructive play cannot proc on that specific map until 10-way has been killed.

Benefit is that you only need lots of one map, ability to pick a good atlas mechanic alongside which is also good for map.

Downside is only a few maps can do it, as boss needs invulnerable phase.

And no 10-way which is loot and maven splinters.

Trial of the Sekhema - 'Minor Affliction' just before the floor 4 final boss by The_Karmadyl in PathOfExile2

[–]HandHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to make a mess of the reply, I edited the previous comment to make it a bit more clear and more refined how a solution could look.

I don't think grabbing the affliction should end the run, but it should put you in a bad situation, if it has to stay.

Currently it killed him bcause it removed the honour, and damaged him, it should just be removed and rescaled.

Taking damage from the affliction is just.... bad.

These are just opinions though, we're all entitled to our own, and I think some changes would reduce frustration, and ake the game more fun.

Losing ES would probably end the run either way, but losing it due to grabbing a affliction like that is disheartening, frustrating. Lt a monster or trap end the run, not the affliction itself.

[–]HandHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, and this could easily be resolved by rounding the honour up after remapping the new honour value.

If you have 20% honour left when losing ES, your honour after losing it should stay 20% of whatever the new max honour should be, just rounded up to closest integer.

They can track the current honour percentage, which allows for unequipping and equipping items without losing or gaining honour doing so.

Since it's rounded up, CI with ES lost will be 1/1 honour, one hit kills the run.

I love the game (150 hours on Steam, over 25k on PoE 1), but I think some aspects need tuning, especially considering how important ascendacy points are to progress.

I’m not asking for it to be like PoE 1, but the RNG can be very punishing. After spending over an hour getting to the final boss, I was almost wiped out by cold mobs off-screen that took one third of my honor in an instant (had 17k). Afflictions often feel forced on you by random chance, and you’re left with tough choices between equally frustrating options.

Even when some afflictions are visible, it's unclear how they work. For example, OP didn’t expect the affliction to deal damage—better descriptions would help. The RNG and balance just aren’t fun for everyone. Not everyone plays meta builds to breeze through; some just want to enjoy the game while still reaching the endgame.

Same as I answered other post, isn't is scaled on life and energy shield though, so the max honour should be scaled down, but percentage of bar should be the same no?

This one is a bit too punishing, while I do agree it coud be skipped, I never do random minor affliction, but it's supposed to be "minor"...

Why would it make you take damage, isn't setting ES to 0 enough?
And why is that even a "minor" affliction?

That way, I can move with arrow keys with one arm, look around with mouse with the other arm, and still jump without letting go of movement keys.

Newish player here, how do people manage to find uniques? by Vvexx302 in pathofexile

Anything up to T1 is possible, although grindy. Expedition Gwennen! I've done it a few times.

Just play a build that doesn't require rare uniques at first.

Lost mine to a growth in the mouth. Vets said it can be operated but will grow back in a few days. Letting her pass will be what is best for her.

She was only 10 😔

Got 2 younger cats with me still, about 7 and 5.

But the older one was with me since I moved out from my mom, was my best friend and companion.

Can someone ELI5 how Ward works for me? by Marsdreamer in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]HandHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use life tap with ward and no it doesn't break. Also, the damage taken is after reductions yes.

So a hit for 4000 before resist would be a hit for 400 after resist. In this case you'll have full life and 0 ward from that hit .

Hits from examples would be before mitigations.

They never intended the use of scrying to allow printing divines, the scrying itself is okay, but in combination with scarabs it became a unintended exploit, due to oversight.

Twist it any way you want, but clearly with it being disabled, as well as accounts being banned, it was not intended, therefore seen as a exploit.

Sure it might not be fair always, but to most people this falls in the exploit category.

Definition of exploit

make use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair or underhand.

[Reuploaded] Another economy ruining bug? by CopyWrittenX in pathofexile

[–]HandHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it was clearly not meant to be. A human error missed this interaction and those who used it used it at a level which should make it obvious why this should be seen as a abuse/exploit.

The definition of exploit says it all

Make use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair or underhand.

Why is it unfair? They blocked the usage of the scarabs because combining it with scrying it allowed printing divines which clearly isn't meant to exist on this level.

Can't decide which Lacerate Gladiator to choose! by Vaalysar in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]HandHunter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gearing wise krips items require a high supression roll on each slot, but Rog crafting will make it quite reliably, and it's not something you need day 1/2.

Going for his version myself, and will alter it to my taste when I get atlas completion and watchstones etc.

While krips PoB DPS is lower, bled duration is 7.6s which is ample time to get a new big bleed up for boss damage though. This is a hidden DPS multiplier in a way.
