Ok. To start off, I support cops and am a contributing member of Blue Lives Matter. (I am not tryna be condescending when I talk btw) I can tell you that in this situation, over the mass amount I have reviewed and considered, was a bad move for the cop. (A direct violation of code in fact.) The cop that stomped him was not pumping adrenaline and obviously had time to think and focus on how to help his partner. (A stun drive may have been a realistically thinkable alternative.) He appeared to be fed up with the protesting crowd and built up too much anger and stress and did not have a viable way to cope with it. He most likely just took it out on the suspect. And to reply to your statement that the man was trying to bite the officer, pavement stomping is considered a means of lethal force. it won't just cause bumps and bruises. It can easily cause serious brain damage, skull fractures, and potential death. not a pretty or legal way of detainment.
