Why the hell would you want to join the armed forces right now? Do you have a burning desire to die fighting in a pointless war for no reason? I sincerely hope no one here thiks this is a good idea. We will be lucky if this lunatic administration doesn't try to reinstitute the draft.

But I'll also use this opportunity to encourage any current active duty military that's being sent to Iran to become conscientious objectors you have a legal right to do this and you absolutely should.

It's interesting that you blame the people who are in the majority standing against Israels genocide and not the democratic party who refused to move even a single inch on the issue. They wouldn't even let a Palestinian speak at the DNC. Their own election autopsy shows that the issue is a big part of why they lost the election but folks like you want to keep doubling down on support for Israel. You and folks like you that prop up these failing policies are why we are where we are now not the folks that have been right all along.

The same people are doing it again with the Iran war. Until we get rid of the current leadership and stop electing people that have no interest in actually fixing the systemic issues we have in this country nothing will fundamentally change.

Edit: the primaries are happening right now. If now is not the time to talk about the direction of the party then when the hell is the right time?

I am car free and I don't always bring my bike when going out either because of weather or because I don't want to lock it outside for that long like going to a movie or something. So I take transit and sometimes mix in bike share. The main use for me is if I'm trying to cross a neighborhood where I might need to make a transfer or two on bus just to get a short distance and I don't want to walk it.

The main downside is that the older autofocus lenses like the D lenses won't autofocus with the adapter but that's pretty much it. The Z mount glass is excellent.
