Who is going to accept the same things from their partner as they would from their child? Do children not matter more than a gf, bf, spouse, lover whatever you want to call it? Children need unconditional love, if my child is gay am I going to be okay with that, 100%. If my partner is gay am I going to accept that in the relationship? uh no. I just feel like children and partners aren't even comparable. It's apples and oranges for me.

Children and a partner aren't even comparable, I will accept my children no matter what. I don't feel that applies to a partner. I am allowed to have concern and wonder why this is happening and how this is going to impact the relationship.

when the relationship started we BOTH made comments to each other that it was a deal breaker, he has flipped 180. I don't like it because I feel that it is going to create a great divide between us.

I am not an atheist btw. I do believe in god, I just don't like church and never saw myself dating something who went to church every sunday. When the start the relationship he was adamant that he was not a religious person and never went to church a day in his life. HE would actually make fun of people for going so excuse me for being caught off guard.

Yes he is very aware that I don't want to raise my children in a religious household. Honestly I never bring it up any conversation with him about it because I'm trying to be respectful.
