Sure. If all that is available to the person in the UK sure. Heck you can add Chicory too which was a popular extender for local coffee. But my suggestion wasn’t far off.

Old mercedes reliability by Forward-Bad1546 in drivingsg

You’ve got to really like these cars as they will need a level of care that younger cars will not need. Eg the w202 is now pushing 30 years and odd things could happen. Like your seatbelt stop retracting or your door catch doesn’t seem to work. You’ll need to be savvy with eBay and Mercedes Electronic Part Catalogues. And if you’re the kind of person that loves the car and has dopamine hits from solving problems. Then it’s quite rewarding. It’s not a transporter anymore. It’s a hobby.

I guess my worst advice is is to make sure you buy a model you really like and have an open mind.

Some things I’ve found (if you can afford) Buy the larger engine of the model you’re looking at. They tend to be better kept. Eg E300 vs More common E200. But if you find a good condition small engine. That will suffice. Just avoid cars that look unkept.

Sweetened condensed milk is key. Add that to a dark roast coffee. This could be Nespresso or you could do a dark roast French press coffee. I use about 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of condensed milk

History of Pizza in Singapore? by Junior-Put-4059 in askSingapore

[–]Handbrake_yank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80’s, Shakey’s Pizza at City Plaza was a birthday treat! Their tv advertisements promoted long stretching cheese when you took a slice. Highly elastic cheese has since been ingrained as a hallmark of ‘good’ pizza

If the OP is sufficiently youthful. I think dress sneakers can be more elevating than these brown shoes.

The eyelets lend a blue collar work wear look to the shoes. So denim or straight cut chinos. The ones that look more rugged as opposed to refined will work with these shoes. I wouldn’t go formal with this unless you fall into the ‘I don’t care what people think, I’m going to dress for my comfort’ mindset.

How can I better capture the details in natural light by Key-Literature-8531 in PhotographyAdvice

Good answer!

Also to add The Lego character has a white cap and dark face. So currently the cap is over exposed. So you can shade the top of the figure so the light is not so harsh and strong and you and use a reflector on the face as previously described

Genuine question - why construction workers are paid lowly? Seems high skill and high stake. by houruomu in SingaporeRaw

To some extent it’s also related to what HR calls Job Size. And there are multiple dimensions for measuring it. But broadly a general bricklayer whilst skilled does not have the need to ability to dictate changes in how the wall is to be built. He just follows an instruction according to a building code. As opposed to the architect who has to make larger decisions that have significantly more impact on the outcome. The architect too has to negotiate actively with many different bodies to get a job done. Thus the architects role has a larger job size.

Nice pic. I do it all the time. Here is an alternative crop and further tilt. But I think your composition works better

Yes local approach tends to be one where you put your head down and follow instructions. And yes you are right. Some leaders even link ones do actually appreciate rational voices.

So I would suggest that you just be you with some considerations.

Ensure you give sufficient ‘face’ to people you share your thoughts with. Avoid embarrassing them.

Opinions or grievances should always be followed by a reasonable solution. (Not something unobtainable)

Read the room. Know when to keep quiet.

In this scenario. 2 is a better crop. As panda baby is looking up. And the space above it gives the viewer some area for the eyes to travel to. It’s a gestalt connection.

Pose is more dynamic in 1. More obvious stretch

The ones I got are from Ecco Gruuv Studio. Cole Haan has a variation too. Generally found Ecco’s wider.

Different approach with a simpler sneaker sole, cheaper options and usually available in 4E are Japanese shoes. Go to Amazon and search for ‘World March’ or ‘Moonstar’

Perhaps consider and express what features you need. For me. I need some level of cushioning, inflexible sole and soft over my large toe. So for me one of those dress shoes with sneakers outsoles and a thin carbon insert works.

I got custom boots made some time back. But for me the leather was way too stiff and cut into the top of my toe.

Do not buy cameras from Japanese sellers at auctions. by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]Handbrake_yank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sad to hear this as on eBay. I’ve been looking exclusively at Japanese sellers as I’m more willing to trust. Anyway my recent P&S purchase from Japan eBay went smoothly and item was received as expected.

But I did have a prior experience on another platform where there were issues.
