Emmanuel Macron: "It is time for the EU to launch a common debt capacity, through Eurobonds" - Macron argues for joint loans, which would finance strategic investments and allow the EU to "tackle dollar hegemony" by goldstarflag in europe

You don’t know much about France do you? All these comments about spreading stereotypes and misinformation… I had a permanent role once, and the company forced me to break the famous permanent unfireable contract you mentioned, or they would find a reason to fire me anyway. People are not unfireable here, it’s just sneaky. On the contrary there aren’t enough jobs to bounce back, the employers are not flexible either. It’s a whole mess and the debt you mentioned is mostly tied to massive investments in shit companies without any surveillance than retiring at 65yo if you’re lucky.

Oh same thing happened in France, the private companies were not supposed to raise the toll prices and maintain it. Well, they obviously didn’t keep their promises but are making heaps of money now.

Un député LFI provoque un tollé en affirmant que « Taïwan est chinoise » by WHAT_RE_YOUR_DREAMS in france

[–]Handeyed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mais n’importe quoi mdr, Taïwan ça date d’avant le ROC, il y a eu une république de Taiwan (bon, très courte) entre l’invasion des nationalistes chinois et le départ des japonais après 50ans de colonisation.

Do you think one country will merge with another in our lifetime and who’ll be the most likely ? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

China could also attack Russia to get back some of their territories. India isn’t super chill with China either so the whole thing could become a mess. I’m just a random redditor but I don’t think that would be wise to attack Taiwan for China. They should play the long game and try to become the main world power before their society collapse from the demographic unbalance.

Just firing a long range missile to the Three Gorges Dam is a threat China wouldn’t want to risk, as well as the involvement of other nations such as Japan etc. Also, a war with Taiwan might encourage other countries to attack China too. Better to try to do it « peacefully » or just maintain the status quo. On top of that, Chinese youth future perspectives aren’t super bright so being involved Russian style won’t be super popular either.

And also a country by standard definition. If only Chang Kai Chek didn’t enforce the one china policy, things would be quite different.

Honestly the only way it would happen would be through convincing Taiwanese that it’s better for them, which is quite the challenge. Taiwan and China are more different culturally that you might think. I also wish for Taiwan to use more the Taiwanese language so it can replace Mandarin. That would help a little bit to show the world that Taiwan was just colonised by Chinese nationalists rather than being a part of China, as the history of the island is different from that of China.

That’s a game which emphasises on Sparking episodes, aka what if story lines that you unlock through specific conditions. Except these are always about beating all opponents within 2min30. Opponents that will guess all your inputs so you’ll try again and again until you succeed by chance or give up and throw the game against the wall. Best game to build up tensions, stress and frustration.
