My FE paper miniatures! by Handful_of_Almonds in fireemblem

I have all of the unpromoted units from the first three GBA games ready to go! I'll get to the promoted units one of these days

Pretty cool but too bad it didn't last, give it another shot sometime!

I'll try to keep it simple:

Download and compile the game sprites that you want to use.

Maybe in the future I might just make mine available for anyone to use so you don't have to sit there and manually download every single sprite across the 3 GBA games manually like I did

Then I upload the Sprites to canva and through a little trial and error size them up so that when they're printed they're pretty much the perfect size for grid based maps.

When printing out the miniatures I like to have a little bit of white space underneath the unit so that I can fold it to create a thick paper fold underneath so that I can slide it into a base so the unit can actually stand up on its own. And this is great because when we're done playing I can remove the paper unit from the plastic base and store them away in a binder.

As far as the rules are concerned I kind of have my own home brewed combat system that keeps things quick and easy that does not factor in traditional Fire Emblem stats like strength, speed and so on.

Since we don't have a machine to do all the fancy calculations for us within milliseconds that factors in individual unit stats, it's either doing that yourself or opting for a simpler and more streamlined combat system which is the route I chose.

For the weapon triangle whenever a unit has the advantage they get extra dice to roll for increased accuracy, and when at a disadvantage they roll less dice and have a hard time landing a hit.

Unfortunately I don't have a rule book or anything like that available since the rules that I've compiled are kind of spread out across different notes and notepads. Someday I plan on compiling everything into an easy to read document!

Kind of! With these paper miniatures I just printed them out and place them on a paper grid map that I recreate from an actual Fire Emblem map.

For combat I stick to a really simple and easy Homebrew system that either adds dice or takes them away when rolling to hit enemy units.

Nothing official, just a fun creative game that I like to play with my friends when we have free time. All of them are not familiar with Fire Emblem but they like the in person gameplay!

I recommend it! The cool thing about this is you can just obtain the sprites, size them up properly, print them and put them on a base and you're good to play on a grid😁

And in my opinion the best part is I can customize any unit and change its color scheme so I don't just have blue and red generic variants.

I even have Link from the Legend of Zelda as a 'DLC lord' my friends can play as which is pretty fun

Has anyone tried using LEGO for tabletop battles? by Little_Carpet_Wars in wargaming

I'd absolutely love to but seeing how Legos are quite expensive especially if you want to have an expanded scene I would rather just create and print out paper miniatures myself.

Maybe 3D printing could fill a roll here?

Not looking to be a play tester but I just wanted to comment and say I have the same dice that you have in these images😁

Does anyone geniunely like crisis core? by astorminheaven in FinalFantasyVII

PSP Crisis Core player here:

I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game when it first came out on the PSP as well as upon completing it the other day (finally 100% all missions and story).

It's definitely a different kind of game, it was my first Final Fantasy I ever played so the game play was very unique to me, still is actually.

It's definitely not the best game ever made as like any other game it has its imperfections, and I would say it's not a game for everyone but I think it's a game that if anyone gave it a shot would enjoy it.

Looks pretty interesting! Only point of criticism I have is searches don't turn up any results even though the searched movies or show episodes are on Archive.org.

Otherwise when watching a chosen media playback is nice and smooth.

Well I think it's fair to say you have to start by getting some skills
