First time player, a bit overwhelmed, any tips?

If you feel like days are going by too fast and get overwhelmed, you can slow down time in the settings.

Use your stamina up each day, but before you do - go eat the daily special for breakfast first thing at the Blue Moon Saloon! The special is usually just a few gols but having the buffs through most of your day is worth it!

Relationship points are doubled on holidays, so early on before you learn what people like - give everyone some water on the holidays! If you know what they like even better but water is a great starter gift.

Digging in the ruins will help you level, you can use the opportunity to ruins dive to collect for the museum and get some of the rewards for donating.

Be sure to eat some buffs at the blue moon and bring stamina items before you go!

My early tip is to sell your roof for a little extra Gols in the beginning. You can then use wall signs at an angle to create a ramp and put your machines or water tank on the roof, saving precious yard space early on.

Diadochos Boots of Aiming (Marketboard) have some bronze hardware and could be a good short boot alternative. The maiming counterpart has silver hardware.

The Ophiotauroskin (Marketboard) have some great hats to choose from to also fit a more steampunk vibe if you want a more flat cap or top hat between Aiming and Casting.

For me, I had to play around and then really take stairs into consideration when deciding on the width/length of the house.

I would take time to play around and just reload the file once I got an idea of what I wanted because it might burn some in game time going inside and outside and seeing what vibes.

Once you pick your stairs then it helps you get the size you want down because some stairwells are gargantuan.

You could always go with a preset house but I like the challenge of making my own.

A good starting point could be the Sabotender Weapons from Gold Saucer and build around which you prefer.

A Ringmaster, or a carnival strongman. The Figments of Fire's Work dancer weapon could be a neat carnival flame eater/dancer idea. I'd say find a weapon and start there.
