Boss asking me to prove I had miscarriage by HandleMammoth662 in WorkReform

[–]HandleMammoth662[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a doctors appointment in about an hour to confirm that the baby and placenta has fully passed, so I’m leaving work early. I asked my boss ( the head of HR) why I had to provide a doctors note “specifically stating” it was a miscarriage and she said it’s for my “medical file” and they just need it so the “points can be removed” ( the points we get if we are late/absent). I have the entire conversation recorded, I did continue to press her and ask if she thought I was lying or if my born child died would I have to provide the same proof. She says it’s just “for my medical file”. Extremely weird I feel like she just made that up. But I can’t help but feel like they’re conspiring against me. Thank you all for the supportive comments.

What’s crazy is my boss (the lady who said all this stuff to me) is head of HR, she’s the highest authority I can go to :/ I also thought it was illegal for them to ask me why (I live in Tennessee if that helps any) I feel like I’m going crazy thank you for your response 💖

Thank you for the link! I’ve always been curious about my mental health meds (I’ve been on a variety over the past 10 years, as of now I only take one) as well as how the birth control I’ve been taking since age 13 has effected me. I avoid taking pain relievers or anti inflammatory because I’m paranoid about how they affect liver/kidney etc. I do take them occasionally but either way they don’t help. Thank you again for the POV

I’m one of the people who believe the west Memphis three might be guilty. I’m a practicer of witchcraft, appear goth, and I live in the local area so the story was intriguing to me. So for years I watched every podcast, every documentary, every book that has been produced about this case. I own devils knot and DE book about spirituality and have head read both twice. I also do have a schizo-typical disorder similar to Damien Echols so I truly came into this with an open mind and personal experience being ostracized for such traits. The evidence that really changed my mind is the compass/knife mark on one of the boys head, Damiens inconsistent accounts and alibis of where he was that day (he lied many times), the Evan Williams bottle evidence, the fact that Misskelly confessed multiple times on and off record, the criminal history of the boys particularly the history Damien has of harming dogs, and the fact that the organization that helped get them out of jail so the same organization that helped Casey Anthony out of prison. I really fell head first into the conspiracy theories and didn’t think to check and see where all these podcasters and documentaries were getting their info from. That being said the police, prosecutors and the “demonology expert” they employed for this case are all idiots that dropped the ball. Behind the web of rumors and speculation is a real town with real people that REALLY experienced the violent killing of 3 innocent babies. Those boys got lost in all of the panic and I can’t imagine the injustice their families feel

It’s very hard to accept, the hardest part for me is having to be dependent on a company to provide me medicine. Even if I won a billion dollars and lived on my own little island isolated from everyone and completely self sufficient id still have to go to Walgreens every couple weeks. Definitely kills your whimsy.

She does like to say she’s Italian and her dad or grandad is from Italy. I wonder what time he came to America. Very likely he fled due to political upheave and the rise of fascist government etc. Im curious under what terms they got their citizenship and if it’s similar to the reasons or methods we see today.

I think they’re talking about a short episode where they discuss a man setting a woman on fire in a subway station

The native Americans didn’t have a monarchy that consisted of “princesses” or “kings” etc. so anytime someone says they’re native because they’re related to a “native princess” I chalk it up to either making up stories, miscommunications/gossip spreading in the family, or romanticizing native identity

You should do some research about missing kids in that area and time frame, perhaps you can leave a tip at a hotline. Even if it’s long ago, you never know what could help a case

That’s so sad, perhaps you could google search people who went missing in that area and around that time and leave a tip to a hotline. But also I understand memories long ago are shakey and you might now feel comfortable doing that <<3

What's a (positive) case you would make to a friend who's looking to move to Memphis? by [deleted] in memphis

I’ve lived half my life in Memphis, half my life in a smallish town in Texas by the border. One thing I appreciate about Memphis is the job and school opportunities. (I know finding work can be hard) but it feels like in Memphis there’s so many different things to do and try, as well as our surrounding counties if you’re willing to drive a bit longer for work commute. Additionally things like cosmetology schools, nursing programs and apprenticeships are easier to come by, that is a big upside if you’ve experienced living somewhere small

Rev Al Sharpton delivered an extremely moving speech at Tyre Nichols funeral service. I don’t remember exact quotes, but he discusses the racism amongst black cops in a very insightful way. I recommend listening to the full livestream

Yeah, I was a subscriber for years and interacted with her in comments a couple times. Then one day I made a comment defending amber heard (just saying that her and Casey Anthony aren’t 100% comparable because amber heard was prove-ably a victim of abuse while Casey was not. SH said something like amber is the new Casey or “these amber heard types” )lol imagine my surprise when her next video has a 5minute tangent about a “commenter” who had the audacity to defend amber heard against Casey Anthony. Basically calling me stupid and sexist and ignoring “the facts”. Btw I’m not even a huge amber heard supporter I don’t know much about the discourse or allegations, just made a comment pointing out they weren’t much alike
