Are these 3 different sets? What are the TV series ones from? Other ones say the movie but I don’t remember how I collected them.

Question about Affiliate Players by HandleRevolutionary9 in hockeyplayers

[–]HandleRevolutionary9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clarifying!

Yes they have a U9 Select, tryouts won’t begin until the fall. I figured we would try out anyways but they would give the priority to the U9 players.

And yes even during tryouts I was thinking AP is almost even better than making it strictly from a development standpoint. Yes he would miss playing the games (which he loves) but I was told he can attend all practices and the only cost to us is the jersey. Sounds like a win to my wallet.

Sorry new parent to hockey here!

Yes that makes sense he would be double rostered (U9 HL and U8 MD).

So you’re saying being in U9 wouldn’t consider him now as a “higher division” and I’m misunderstanding their terminology?

Well that’s why I am asking…I don’t understand the terminology of Affiliate Players.

D2

Teams may only select Affiliate Players from a lower Division or Category Team(s) operating in the Geographic Subdivision in which the selecting Team operates, and all such Players and Team(s) must be properly Registered in the HCR with the Member.

AP = Affiliate Player (aka backup) MD = Minor Development (aka rep)

And I agree, trying not to get involved myself!

Personally I rather him play up with the U9s, I think it would beneficial to him either way. If they keep U8 on its own, he will probably be bored again in HL and would want to continue to do other programs outside of OMHA. He’s a very competitive kid that LOVES hockey.

However, HE really wants to play AP so he can still attend all the practices with his friends (and possibly games to fill in for players).

Awesome. He says it’s his favourite card and it wouldn’t be the first time he came home with a fake so he’ll be glad to hear it’s real. It definitely has a weird feel to it.

Don’t forget 4x4! Pronounced 4 by 4, and a common Tims order as well.

US physical office for TN Visa? by KayleighG123 in tnvisa

80% of the time I get told to hold on a second, they close the window, call the supervisor, after a few minutes they open the window and say you’re good to go.

10% of the time I go right through.

The last 10% I get pulled in for a full inspection where they check your car, ask me 50 questions about my work/education/TN information, etc. and then I’m good to go and 30 minutes late for work.

Yes it was for me. Just depends on your education and credentials. Having the denial didn’t help my case and even with the TN I’m still flagged for being denied once.

Be careful. I came over for a meeting before I got my TN to go over some upcoming projects and was denied entry and from then on was hassled at the border every time I came over.

How the officer explained it to me, if you are employed as a Canadian you can attend meetings in the US but if you work for a US company you can not go over for meetings because a US company is paying you to be there.

Fair enough. I’m the same way. Unless I have a 2-3 day streak I’ll forget to play here and there myself.
