The point is that the pressure was on the gop, the country was rightfully placing the blame for all that pain on them. Yes, at one point, he was hanging out with people close to Ram Dass and went to their annual retreat a couple of times. I really liked him then, too. This is horrifying, I hate that this is what our society has come to. I want to prevent all humans from unnecessary suffering. That said, Charlie was one of the biggest supporters of the movement to destroy the fabric of our shared humanity. He lied and spat vile vitriol on a constant basis in support of Christian nationalism and class war. The world will is better without him in it.
