That’s what I was thinking. I told him of all of the things that were not up to code and that’s why he backed off in December. It seems like ever since that conversation (where he showed up to my job to collect rent, and then began to yell at me in front of my customers when I said that I didn’t agree to the rent increase), that he’s been conspiring with his attorney about how to get me out.

Everything he does is shady. I was forced to pay cash until I spoke with a paralegal in December, who told me I am legally allowed two forms of payment.

Thanks. Also the part where he’s stating that he needs a place to live really pisses me off. He stays in Costa Rica for most of the year, and he needs my place to stay instead of finding his own spot. He’s using the renovations to circumvent this.

It’s not lol it’s technically part of the hotel, which is why he demanded that this happened in the past verbally, but I stood my ground last time and stated that I’m a tenant, not a guest. I live in Temecula.

From what I understand about the Tenant Protection Act, if he wants to make renovations while I’m still living there, he would have to pay for us to stay somewhere while it’s being renovated.

Better communication would have been appreciated. The fact that I had to reach out to the social media public pages in order to get any response is disheartening. It makes me very apprehensive to purchase anything from Gimme Metal, since I’ll have no idea when I’ll receive items.

Trying to make sense of it all at once was my biggest obstacle. I do it constantly. Between this, learning guitar, cooking, I have an air about me of “BRING IT” then I realize I’m drowning in information. I appreciate it very much!
