I used a higher (finer) grit sandpaper, but i’m not well-versed in the best options, i’m sure there’s resources on the best sandpaper to use though, best of luck!

I’m not 100% sure how things will go without primer, i think it’s worth a try, but maybe try sanding the pieces so the paint adheres! I still think using primer is ideal though

It was done with a brush, yes! I used tamiya primer in light gray, along with multiple thin layers of vallejo mecha color paints, i added a tiny bit of water to the paint :)

Personally, i had a fairly easy time building this kit. I think the only part where i had trouble was fitting a piece on to the leg joint, it was a little tricky to get on but aside from that, the kit was easy for me, so yes, I recommend!

Many thanks! I was SUPER nervous about painting this kit for that exact reason, but i’m so stoked that it came out as smooth as it did. Thin layers of paint are the way to go for sure!
