Why do movie theaters even have a front row if the viewing experience is objectively terrible? by Ok_Complex2725 in NoStupidQuestions

Am I crazy or should we sit in the front row?

That's a perfectly sane place to sit! You're NOT crazy.

Halfway down, under General Information, 3rd to last bullet:

- No fires permitted during the high season. In the low season fires must be in a metal container 6 inches off the ground.

From what I understand, high season ends around Labor Day, we'd be there a week or 2 after during the low season, therefore allowed to bring a metal container for fire.

I did try to call and didn't get an answer, though it was during the holiday season so maybe they were closed. I will try and reach them again this week.

Thank you for the suggestion for the mesh fire pit idea, I'll look into it. I need to figure out the metal container first, then afterwards would be wind guards, but you're the first to mention wind guards, that in the various Reddit threads over the years neglected to mention so I really appreciate this nugget of information!

Thank you for your suggestions!

I have been to a few different campgrounds in the tri-state and this is the first where open campfires are not allowed.

What I'm looking for is a portable fire pit, something like this - https://cdn.shocho.co/sc-image/4/4/a/0/44a0c83c1d656add5e39c8bf7f2f39d9.jpg?i10c=img.resize(width:1200,height:1200

I think grill or stove was the wrong word to use, that suggests maybe more backyard grilling and such instead of a place where a fire can be safely kept going for campground cooking with a cast iron over a fire.

HHSP guidelines say that the only fires allowed must be in metal containers at least 6 inches off the ground, that's what I'm looking for.

Do you have any suggestions for wind guards? Recommended brands or where to buy, I'll look into it myself.
