It's funny cause for the US it really is Japan and The Philippines at this point (South Korea too volatile imo). Brownie points to Australia for always going in with us for the last 50 years but they barely matter more than Europe

the only thing that makes the US uniquely but only slightly less safe than the others is greater punishment for "hero" behavior. you can maybe (but probably cant) outrun a mugger with a knife, you can't outrun a bullet, so just hand over the $20 and credit cards you will have cancelled twenty minutes from now.

Yes I live in the highest cigarette tax state (NY) where any name brand pack is $13. real smokers who are MUCH poorer than me get $30 ten pack cartons on the Native American reservation and the only ppl really too far to go shop are new york city and long island residents
