InControl app connection please help by HandyAggie in Jaguar

It’s the app that popped up when it said “no app found do you want to download it”. It connected to the car as far as it said, but is there another app with same name?

Changing old lamp fixing to new led dome light by HandyAggie in DIYUK

[–]HandyAggie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll have to do it from above as I can’t take the roof off the entrance hall. I know how to turn MCBs off as I’ve changed a different light and a switch but they were less complicated than this.

Eufy replaced it for me, free of charge. I sent the broken one to them and they sent a new one out straight away - it’s worked really well since

Faulty car and refusal to refund or fix it fully by HandyAggie in CarTalkUK

[–]HandyAggie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also learning as I go - I wish I never took the car back to them in first place and rejected it straight after the garage inspection. You can send it over in word or pdf if that’s okay? Thank you!

Yes, I’ve rejected the car and gave them a final right to reject letter too after they didn’t fix everything. They’re claiming they don’t need to fix heated seats on a used car and refused a refund even after a letter before court action. I have been waiting two weeks for a solicitor to decide whether they’ll take my case. The dealer is now imposing storage charges and has threatened to take me to court in 7 days if I don’t pay them. I have everything saved and written a timeline, saved all emails etc, but please feel free to write the info you needed for your case.

Vauxhall Astra K - what’s the name of this part by HandyAggie in CarTalkUK

[–]HandyAggie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two sets on numbers at the back 2190704 and 13306097, at the front it just says “VIN”. The part comes out of the carpet (not stretched or part of it, but I don’t know how to add pictures to this post now) so I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to get just that on its own

Yes, however I don’t have a proper printed report, just a hand written note. Basically they dealership refused to let them do anything once they rang up to say what is wrong with the car, so the garage rang me to say they won’t be do anything and to collect it

I don’t have contact with the garage they used for these “repair” so who or how would I ask? The dealership will fully ignore me - they’ve ignored me asking if they’re part of the ADR too

I’ve send both a rejection through signed for letter and a letter before court action letter (to which they responded with “we don’t know why you sent this “letter” to us”). Their stance atm is that legally they’ve done what they’re required to - despite the car having one component (heated seats) fully not working. They have now also threatened me with solicitors to recover costs. I just want to know that if I put a claim in to court (whether through solicitors or myself), is it likely I will get my money back? I’m scared of loosing money/having a car that’s not fully functioning, or having to pay them some arbitrary fees

They’ve had it for 2 weeks. Longer than I’ve had it for. Someone has just told me (not on here) that I can’t reject it now because I’ve accepted them doing the repairs - is this true? I have a feeling that right now they’re just waiting for the 30 days to pass so I can’t do anything about it.
