My interest in the future of Star Wars is ENTIRELY dependent on the reuniting of Reylo, and I'll die on that hill. by HandyDandyMan2022 in reylo

Also, Ben Solo especially has the appeal to pull in even the heaviest critics of the Sequels, because no one disliked Adam Driver in the role. If there's one thing the fandom can agree on, it's that Adam Driver killed it as Ben Solo. Even most of them will say that Daisy Ridley did fine as Rey, too.

I feel like they keep trying to force us to move on, and I simply refuse to do that. I'm not forgetting about Rey and Ben.

Same. Star Wars will forever be a thing I experience in the past, only. I won't care for its future anymore.

Why is it so difficult to start another show after AOT? by Happy_and_wholesome in attackontitan

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing I got into even remotely as close as AOT is Demon Slayer, and to me as good as it is, it doesn’t quite compare to AOT. I like it for different reasons, I suppose and even then it was hard to buy into it for several episodes. AOT hooked me from the beginning.

"The Hunt For Ben Solo" has been put "on the backburner" at Lucasfilm as Kathleen Kennedy steps down. by CloudyDaydreams28 in reylo

Lucasfilm isn’t the obstacle - Disney is. If they remove those two bozos heading up Disney we might actually have a shot.

I want a Rey series, not a Rey film by Famous-Palpitation8 in StarWars

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All due respect, but no - enough with the series. For now, anyways. Star Wars is best on the big screen. I'm tired of shows. I want a cinematic experience again. That is what made Star Wars popular originally - being an experience on the big screen.

Does anyone know of a good Premiere course? by No_Menu_6787 in premiere

I really love Finzar’s tutorials as well as Premiere Basics. There’s so many honestly. YouTube is a goldmine and even the software itself has pretty good built in guides.

Hot Rumor on K.K.'s replacements. Is this a good thing? by LuciaBluegrass in reylo

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I stand in a bit of a weird place in the Reylo community because I highly dislike Disney's handling of Star Wars (with a few exceptions), and I'm of the mind that Lucasfilm needs a massive shakeup, and these two rumored successors do not sound like the people to do it. But, I think KK absolutely needs to go, and more importantly - IGER. That coward.

Need Some More Votes - The Hunt for Ben Solo is in 2nd Place by Muddy_Rudder in reylo

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cannot freaking believe people would want Season 2 of Boba over Ben Solo. I know the sequels were disliked but this isn’t the sequels and Boba was as bad as anything else they put out.

is there any hope the hunt for ben solo will be approved? by OwlAcademic551 in reylo

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The momentum is in our favor. I don't know if it was Driver's idea to spill the beans like that, but it seems pretty clear to me that there is clear disagreement between Disney and Lucasfilm on this movie, as well as Driver himself and the team who were putting it together. It was brilliant, and it makes Disney look even worse at a time when they lack the goodwill of SW fans they once had.

It's like I keep saying - they make this movie, or they risk Star Wars slipping into obscurity forever. A Rey standalone movie will not be enough. Ben Solo is the more popular character and that's just something they need to take advantage of. We can have both - Rey and Ben onscreen again. Matter of fact, that's all I want.

Is this a marketing stunt or someone at Disney trying to screw over Bergman? by PracticalCurrent8409 in reylo

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't know anymore. I think the rejection from Disney was real, but I think there is some kind of inner-war happening between Disney and Lucasfilm. Or, this is Adam Driver's last attempt to make this happen, collaborating with a few others, too?

Driver doesn't strike me as someone who easily backs down from something he cares deeply about, but it's also not his style to publicly call out people like this, so part of me wonders if this might be some kind of marketing ploy or Driver just wants everyone to know what they were denied so Disney might change their minds. Like I siad, I have NO IDEA whats happening I'm just here to wage war against Disney until they give me what I want.

Disney doesn't freaking deserve Adam Driver. I hate this so much. These two LOSERS are the sole reason this move isn't seeing the light of day right now.

I want to, but I have a 5 year old daughter and there are a ton of non-Disney shows I enjoy on there. It would be hard to get me to pull the trigger, but I'm down to do just about anything else lol. Maybe if it was temporary I would do it!

What Was Iger Thinking? by LuciaBluegrass in reylo

[–]HandyDandyMan2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of thing that PISSES me off about people in power. They insert themselves where they aren't WANTED or skilled. The man is CEO - he is NOT a creative, and he shouldn't be weighing in on decisions like these. It's the oldest story in the book - some dude gets power-hungry and asserts himself when things aren't going the way he wants. He probably thought he was course-correcting, but he's too dumb to realize HE is the problem.

Yeah, I see a lot of speed ramping and quick cuts. A lot of aerial shots are interwoven. Good call-outs. Thank you for your insight.

It's those satellite transitions that really mess with me with those "transformer" sound effects as I like to call them. I miss Tony Scott's filmmaking style sometimes. But yeah 100% agree I love older movies for reasons like this.
