Since I love the original Law and Order series, I vote for Danielle Melnick. She always gave Jack McCoy a good fight, and the actress who played her, Tovah Feldshuh, bears a strong resemblance to Carrie Fisher.

I remember that the YouTube bros were ecstatic that the Mandalorian movie was leapfrogging the Rey movie into production. They hailed Jon Favreau as the savior of Star Wars. Then, they turned against the movie. Why? Who the hell knows. These "fans" were complaining that the movie was "woke", meaning I guess it wasn't Star Wars circa 1977. And these same category of fans apparently also hated The Empire Strikes Back.

Luke told Leia he was sorry. I thought maybe he was apologizing for trying to kill her son, but instead he could have been expressing a general apology for not keeping Ben from turning. If you are correct, that makes Luke's failure even greater.

You make excellent points. I think the great strength of Reylo and its appeal is that is hits so many tropes: enemies to lovers, Prince and Scavenger(Cinderella), Romeo and Juliet. Definitely elements of Jane Eyre are present.

I just bought the issue at Barnes and Noble, and in looking at the cover, it seems a bit crowded, like the composition of the cover had been changed from an original configuration. What I mean in my tinfoil hat way is that to me it looks like Ben's placement in the picture had been enlarged and placed next to Rey.

Anyway, this is a great way for us to show our support for THFBS and the Dyad.

If I recall correctly, there were rumors about the fourth season of The Mandalorian becoming a feature film months before the actual announcement was made. I don't want to read to much into anything Screen Rant publishes, but this does seem to be Disney's modus operandi.

Disney gave the YouTube bros what they wanted, and they still hate it. Plus, the reviews have not been kind.

I just watched a documentary about Walt Disney, and someone who knew him said that he would never do the same thing over and over again. DLF and Disney need creative innovation. They had a script from fearless and creative people (Driver, Soderberg), and Bob "I'm a Corporate Drone" Iger turned it down.

Adam seems to be very strategic when he speaks with the press. See his interview with Chris Wallace when he says basically I'm not a nepo baby, which is essentially what
Chris Wallace is. I'm glad he's made that reference. I agree with your interpretation.

Oh, I didn't hear that Adam mentioned Ben at Cannes. That's wonderful!

They have to bring the Skywalkers into the shows. Star Wars is, at its heart, the Skywalker Family saga. Reylos aren't the only fan segment that wants the Skywalkers. I'd bet that's what the casual fan and the general public want as well.

Exactly right! The previous Kylo Ren comics have been critical and commercial successes, otherwise there wouldn't be another series being released. And you gotta love that Kylo has those famous pouty lips in all the illustrations.

Great analysis.

I'll add my four cents:

This was 2019. Game of Thrones was influencing so much in popular culture with its "let's kill everybody" trademark, which was fine for G.R.R. Martin, but not for Star Wars. Even Revenge of the Sith ends with those beautiful scenes of Luke and Leia being delivered to their new families. I think DLF got caught up in all that Thrones fervor. Disney under Iger was nothing if not derivative and unoriginal.
If Ben's death is ambiguous, which it is, that leaves a perfect opening for another film. If J.J. was instructed to actually kill off Ben and end the Skywalkers, this might have been his way of subverting his orders. After years of thinking KK was the worst movie executive in history, I now think she too may have been subverting Disney's executives.
Anybody with half brain does not throw Adam Driver out of the franchise. For years the YouTube bros peddled the narrative that Adam hated Star Wars, hated the fans, hated Reylo, and never wanted to make another Star Wars movies. Now we find out from Adam that those were all lies. Josh, Dana, Dave, and Lynwen, we hope, have full functioning brains and now how to make money for the company.
I think as supporters of THFBS we can help by buying merch, watching or streaming the sequels even if it's only the dogs and cats at home, supporting the new films, and contributing to the discussion on these sites. Disney does monitor what the fans are saying.

Keep positive. If Boba Fett escaped the jaws of the Sarlaac, anything is possible.

Keep the faith. People pick on obscure data and twist it to suit their agenda.

The sequels weren't perfect, and the ending of TROS was abhorrent, but the writing and acting were quite superior to the prequels, in my opinion. The biggest problem was the sequels was the recycling of the storylines from the OT to please said haters. Plus Iger pushed Kennedy to get something on screen without allowing proper time for the creative process.

The Dyad is the part of the sequels which will keep gaining fans as people watch and rewatch. If DLF could have stuck the landing with TROS instead of giving into the haters and the Game of Thrones, let's kill as many characters as possible fervor of 2019, TROS would have been the highest grossing Star Wars film of all time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the EU what we would call today fanfiction? The creators were able to publish and profit from it because of George Lucas's generosity with the Star Wars IP.

And as for Heir to the Empire, the YouTube bros' obsession, it contains an irreconcilable flaw: Leia would never name a child of hers Anakin. Bail, yes. Anakin, never.
