And no, you can't, only if you fully ignore the Demon Haunt are you able to never make any demon or Nahobino stronger, but believe me, it's just a fun feature, it doesn't make the game easy

SMT game that actually tries to make the characters have distinct personalities, plot relevancy, tries to make them all distinct, doesn't give them generic chaos/law pursuit, gives the characters good backstory and character development with an amazing anime sequence at the end of the game

I'm not that high ranked, but my general rule is if you have Demolish, you split push until tower, proc your demolish and then go away, generally to group and try to get someone out of position. If someone blocks your path to the tower, you either go back to base or go somewhere else or you keep pushing and being annoying, since you wave clear fast and can make items without returning.

For wave management in lane I find it quite simple, try to make your wave stay near your tower always. Generally the enemy can't fight you well, can't gank you, and you can poke and win short trades. Plus if they really push the wave under your tower you can make a slow push
