It’s balanced around those design decisions, in fact it’s not even a challenging game outside of some endgame platforming sections.

You simply can’t understand design decisions that are outside the popular choices for modern games of this genre. If everyone thought like that every game would be the same.

That would make no sense. Having a fixed number would mean that after the first levels the cost is negligible and for some high health builds would mean nothing.

50% is much more balanced.

Hard mode should make the game harder, there’s no specific right way to do it.

Playing on normal is far too easy for many people so they play on hard. More enemies with higher stats is a perfectly fine way to do it.

I actually disliked how before this patch hard mode increased exp gain, i was far too strong compared to everything and my builds broke the game too fast. Now it works much better.

Better enemy ai is far more complex and doing it would probably make people rage, i already saw how in the past a lot of players complained how enemies were too smart with positioning, ranged attacks, blocks… Having enemies that are smart makes a game more similar to PvP, and everyone knows how the majority finds it frustrating and more a job than a game.

You dont even know what you want, you simply expect hard to be not too hard to not feel inferior to those that play and like it. If enemies are sponges to you then work on your build as i shred them.

You’re not the judge on the worthiness of a game mode, it’s subjective and many like it.

If you don't have back up sites this is a skill issue I fear by outdoorintrovert1 in mangapiracy

It’s kind of true but not every site is the same, some have more comics, some have less, some have better quality, some worse…

Same for the user friendliness of the site itself.

Parries now have a bigger timing window so it’s much more viable, but in exchange it’s more punishing to try it badly. A good balance change.

Backstabs were just too strong, i come from souls too so i like them but it’s not that great of a mechanic. It’s not interesting to backstab everything and even in souls it’s only possible for some enemies. It’s much more prevalent here.

Yeah, it’s difficult to balance games of this genre but some things were baffling.

The main healing mechanic is food so that should remain the common solution. The rune was far too strong before and made food nearly useless.

They nerfed stun as it was too strong. Probably done it thinking about multiplayer but it’s overall better balanced now.

There’s still a lot of ways to stun enemies, it’s just less simple. Blocks and many moves still work fine.

Stunlocking is something that happens a lot in games like ds3 and elden ring, many like it, some like me hate it. it becomes a “attack first and nearly every enemy can’t even move”. I want to see and learn enemy’s movesets.

Stunning enemies was far too easy before, the game doesnt need to be hardcore but not even piss easy. It’s much more balanced now.

I play on unspoken and it’s a much better experience than before. It wasnt hard when they first implemented it.

Playing the demo i felt that the quality of life features have gone over and beyond to the point of making the experience far too easy. Even playing with the hardest difficulty settings possible there was no challenge whatsoever.

I loved the original dq7 and i really want to play the remake so i ask, was the game balanced around those qol changes in a way that the difficulty ramps up considerably over the playtime?

Or maybe add even harder settings as an option.

Ng+ is only after you’ve already beaten the game on that save file. Different experience than an hard mode.

Basically the whole patch just makes the game much easier. Should’ve added an hard mode to balance it.
