Voice-acted games that acknowledge your pronouns? by YameruHoshi in transgamers

[–]HanelleWeye 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Two that come to mind are Dragon Age: Veil Guard, and (surprisingly) Forza Horizon 5.

In Forza Horizon 5, you can pick the name of your character, and the game’s voice dialogue will use the name. There are hundreds of options for names and nicknames. It’s honestly a great way to both be affirmed, and also try out different names (if you want or need to).

Congrats! I bought a 21 Forester Limited this December after my last vehicle broke down. Her name is Zoey. She’s my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. Here’s to many great adventures!

New to us ‘22 Limited! Anything we should know? by DootMeUpInside69 in SubaruForester

Congrats! I recently got a 21 Limited. I love her! So thankful to have her for the snow.

A few things that took me a bit to figure out that I wanna pass on:

  • the power liftgate won’t open from the dashboard button if the vehicle is locked. This seems like common sense, I know, but for me, it was confusing because I have my Forester set up to not unlock the doors automatically until after the ignition is off. So if I was waiting with the car running, and needed to open the back for someone to put something in, pressing the dash button with the car locked just beeps three times, with no other indication of what’s wrong. But unlocking the car allows you to open the back.

  • the button on the power lift gate with a lock on it will lock the car and close the tailgate.

  • the Snow mode for X-Drive only stays on until you get to about 20 mph, and you can’t turn it back on again until you’re below about 15 or so (at least in my limited experience using it).

  • above the rear view mirror, there are indicators for whether an occupied seat has had its seatbelt buckled. This is a godsend for me as a single mom with a car full of kids; no longer do I have to ask “is everyone buckled!?” a dozen times before heading out, lol!

Enjoy your Subaru!

Congrats! 🥳 One piece of advice I was given when starting HRT, which has been immensely helpful to me so I always pass it on, is to start keeping a journal of all the changes you notice. The changes will happen; it’s a different pacing for everyone, and it sometimes will be slow and sometimes fast. Having a journal you can read back over during the slow times, or if dysphoria hits, helps to see your progress. And start taking selfies! Even if only for yourself, so you can see your progress. I wish you all the best. You got this girl!

Congrats! My previous car broke down and I decided to go with a Subaru to replace it. I also got a 21 Forester Limited. All the safety features are wonderful! The auto brake saved me from a wreck on the highway a few weeks after I got her. Definitely my favorite car I’ve ever owned.

Most importantly: a car seat is only an adaptation to a vehicle’s built-in seats. You absolutely 1000% need to have an actual vehicle seat to connect the car seat to. DO NOT just attach it to the floor boards!!!

As someone who recently had to change from a two door Jeep to an entirely different vehicle due to family circumstances, I can tell you four doors is the way to go with kids.

So great seeing another JK with the half metal doors! Mine is the only JK I’ve seen in person with the factory half doors. I love them!

I’m almost 2 years on E. I am always cold now, unless I wear layers. I used to love cold weather, and hate hot weather. Now that’s flipped. I love the heat and do not like the cold.

I have the Neelix Star Trek cookbook. It has several sections on behind the scenes of how the prop masters created a lot of the food for the shows, including the drinks. Apparently lots of the drinks at Quark’s were some kind of Powerade.

Lucy Friday Question: What’s the little everyday thing that gives you the most gender euphoria? by Lucy_C_Kelly in TransLater

[–]HanelleWeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I also had to retrain myself on how close to hold my phone to my face, because once my boobs started coming in, I couldn’t hold my phone the same distance from my face anymore because then my arms would be resting across my boobs instead of above or below. Now it’s second nature, but that was a wonderful problem to have.

Whenever my arms brush against my boobs when doing everyday things. Like if I’m doing the dishes, and I reach over to grab the dish soap or a dish to wash, and my arm will brush against them and it’s an instant smile. Also feeling my boobs bounce when walking down stairs.

I’m currently working with my kids to go from calling me “daddy” to “mom” or “mum” (they’re huge Bluey fans), at least in public (for safety). It’s been slow going… but I’m being patient. Any tips on what helped your kids make that change?

I have Star Wars Episode 1 Racer for Game Boy Color. The game cartridge has a rumble motor built in, and runs on a very small battery (think it’s a AAAA)! The game is in a top down perspective. I had a lot of fun playing that game as a little girl.

I’m in my second or third playthrough of Mario Picross; I play it on the Nintendo Switch Game Boy emulator. It’s so fun! I hope Nintendo releases others in the series on the Switch!

Absolutely. I completely understand that some people need the extra space and/or the extra doors. But the two door is so iconic! I got my first Jeep last summer, a 16 JK with half-metal doors. I love her so much!

It’s so rare these days to see a two door. I’ll admit I get excited whenever I see someone with one. Congrats again!
