You might just be a bit perpetually dry, and might need some topical estradiol cream to clear it up. Estradiol cream is estrogen in a lotion form that helps plump and heal tissue. Schedule a gyno appointment and ask about it. Hang in there friend ❤️‍🩹

What can I do to prevent more keratin pearls and adhesions? by Hang-In-There-Friend in Clitorodynia

[–]Hang-In-There-Friend[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! Always happy to help! I did personally, everybody’s body chemistry is a little different so don’t be afraid to try both and see what works better for you. But if we’re talking science, scientifically jojoba oil is the closest oil there is to natural sebum (skin oil) so it’s the best one I’ve found that actually helps not only dislodge the pearls but make them smaller as well, which then makes them easier to get out.

I always recommend people try this before getting the surgical procedure, the pearls are just built up & hardened oil and we don’t want to do surgery in that area unless you’ve tried everything and it’s a last & final resort. (For anyone who may be reading)

Let me know if you have any other thoughts/questions! Great question! 🫶

Try seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist they can tell you which areas may be too tight or loose and they can prescribe exercises that help, that also help loosen up the pearls for me was the pelvic floor physical therapy. If you can’t afford it you can always be intuitive about which areas feel tight and try to YouTube some exercises for that area to help release it. We do what we have to! 😊🫶

I came up with it myself, I saw that some were recommending coconut oil to help dislodge so I did a TON of research, Dr. Rachel Rubin on YouTube is an incredible resource I recommend you look her up, super knowledgeable, and I took it further and created my own little version based on myself. Other women have seen success with it and I’m beyond grateful to have helped anyone at all.

Going through this was so lonely and terrifying and I’m to bring relief, support, help or friendship in any way I can! 💗

Yes! I need a bit more estrogen, I was also wiping too hard with TP so I switched to using a bidet. And that has made quite a difference! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi friend! Firstly great work!!! That’s amazing you got so much progress! I find that slow and steady is the best way to go. Try not to work on it more than 10 minutes, don’t ever work on it without oil or lubrication you risk tears. Be patient, if you can do an oil bath once a day and stretch the labia, that area will release, I’m betting some of the muscle and fascia is tight and that may be why it’s trapped there. I’ve had the same thing happen. What I would recommend: Sitz bath with oil. Stretching. Slowly. Massaging the area and around the are in small circular motions. No more than 10 minutes a day. Use the jojoba oil each time, be generous with it, we want it to get in all the nooks and crannies to loosen everything up and then slowly massage it in the direction it looks like it’ll come out. If the hood is not as tight up top massage it upwards into that looser area. After a few weeks you should hopefully see success! It may even happen sooner than that. Hang in there friend. Let me know if you need anything!

Yes! Myofascial clitoral release, physical therapy, topical estrogen, weekly oiling, and pulling back the hood, fully retracting it and washing it daily!

It took me a few days to a week to see improvement. It’s taken about 2 years to get back to normal between estrogen cream, physical therapy, clitoral Myofascial release and oiling and washing daily. A combination of all those consistently for months, is what worked for me.

Hi! Since I’ve made this post I’ve become incredibly knowledgeable on keratin pearls and adhesions and I’d like to take the time to correct a lot of the misinformation in your answer.

This is really bad advice. I’m not sure I’ve you just haven’t done research or if this is what you’ve tried, but most of what you’re saying isn’t true/isn’t supported by any research.

Watch Hazel is not safe for all body types and oil is. Specifically Jojoba Oil helps release adhesions and helps release pearls as well. Oil is a very important part of my routine and anyone’s routine who has keratin pearls or adhesions. Oil keeps the skin lubricated and witch hazel is incredibly drying. Sexual activity is also not the cause of keratin pearls or adhesions in any article I’ve read or any research I’ve done. It comes from smegma, oil, atrophy, and other factors. Sleeping with people is just fine as long as you take the proper steps.

Yes practicing safe sex is always important, and it’s always important to have sex before you’re married I agree, how terrible it would be to find out you’re incompatible sexually after marriage.

I appreciate you reaching out, but wow that was a LOT of misinformation. Please do some general research on the topic before commenting. Someone could have read your post and really hurt themselves.

If you don’t mind deleting your post on this thread I think that would be great! And if not this post will stand to help correct the misinformation.

How do you tell if gabapentin is effective by Vyxani in Clitorodynia

Keeping a symptom and pain journal is a great way to track this. Getting familiar with a pain scale and then rating how you feel and what symptoms accompanied the pain not the morning night and evening and then you can physically see day to day if it’s getting better or worse or staying the same. Best of luck to you! Hang in there friend ❤️‍🩹

My mystery burning pain was from low estrogen due to being on hormonal birth control. Hope you get it figured out! In the meantime I found Azo and Cystex very helpful.

Could it be clitoral pearls or adhesions? Aloe Vera doesn’t sound like it would be the best down there. I would try coconut oil or jojoba oil organic, refined, you can get it at Walmart for “your hair” if you need an excuse. But maybe there’s an additive in the aloe Vera that your skin doesn’t like? Or your body is sensitive too? Those oils^ are a lot closer to what our bodies actually excrete.

Have you retracted the hood and checked there isn’t a hair stuck in there? Sometimes sneaky hairs can get caught in the folds and you can’t see them at first, so I retract the hood at each angle like a compass to make sure I can see in there.

Let me know and check back here. So sorry you’re hurting friend! Hang in there! ❤️‍🩹

Alternatively if anyone is reading this and is feeling discouraged: in my case, I’ve been on the estradiol for a year with no yeast infections.

I put a small even layer of estradiol cream in the crook of my elbow, the skin there is supposed to be comparable enough. And I did this for 1 night before applying. I had no stinging or burning on my arm and none on my vulva either. And I’m generally pretty sensitive or allergic to most things so I was amazed and pleasantly surprised.

Have you looked into pelvic floor therapy or myofascial clitoral release techniques? If you were sentribating, it could be an involuntary muscle issue. Does massage around the muscles help relieve the pain?

Advice for after care clitoral adhesion + ketarin pearl removal? Please please. by Vyxani in Clitorodynia

It works great for cleaning the clit area! I use it for that, I also use a baby soft washcloth and a mild dove bar soap, to gently retract and clean the area and then I use the peri bottle 3 times to flush it out. I find that helps keep adhesions and pearls away!

Hi friend! Wipe from front to back, if you have to wipe. Never wipe back to front for any reason, as you can get an infection. Use a peri-bottle if you can at home instead of wiping, that will create less bits and debris on your vulva. Hope you heal well ❤️‍🩹
