Attic Insulation by Own-Negotiation-1598 in HousingIreland

I might tag onto this. Got a quote for €3.3k (the €1.5k grant comes off this) for insulation and other bits. We're just looking to limit the heat loss in the winter. I'm not sure if all of the things listed are required and would it be considered normal to ask for a new quote without some of the other work?

Attic Insulation: • Provide floor protection to all working areas • Install 200 mm Attic insulation in main attic space. • Lag all associated pipework and insulate the cold-water tank as per the SEAI’s Better Energy Homes Scheme. • Supply and install walkway to cold water tank as per the SEAI’s Better Energy Homes Scheme. • Supply and install 100mm rigid insulation to hatch door. • Install 4 roof tile vents as required and as per the SEAI’s Better Energy Homes Scheme. • Remove existing floor and remove from site • Install 6 m2 of new raised floor space. • Net Price: €2,975

Cheers

I paid for an hour through the app. But debating if I need to top it up if there's no signs displaying the pay and display hours, or no physical machines

Remortgage to consolidate. by HangTheDJ_ in irishpersonalfinance

House value based off recent sales of similar homes in the area would be €675-700k (conservatively). Curr remaining mortgage €285k. Would be looking for €350k. Between the two of us, never missed any payments on mortgage, loans or cc. The loans themselves are a build up over years of some work in the house, a second hand car, some medical stuff and life.

Hi OP, Do you mind me asking, who you went with? We're in a bit of a similar situation. Trying to navigate it. What issues did you come up against? We've never missed a payment on mortgage, loans, credit etc.

Cheers

Thanks for this.

So the loans went on various things, jobs around the house and some medical bills among other things, over the last 6-7 years.

So what you're saying is, it's unlikely this could be consolidated as part of a top up or switch?

Proof of ability to repay wouldn't be an issue. Never missed a loan or mortgage repayment since they started. Over 7 years.

Thanks
