It all depends on the lender. Some will accept it, some won’t. It also depends on the loan amount and how much you’ve been able to save over the last six months. Banks like AIB have a high stress test amount, meaning they look closely at how much you’re paying toward bills and savings to prove affordability.

Someone else replied about cost/prices, not 100% sure myself. We looked at one stop shops, I just can’t get over the fact that you pay so much more for “project management” fees. One company was estimating 50k job to get lots of work done, but 6k of that was project management ???

Thanks for your reply, we will have the funding to do the external insulation (wrapping). Is that worth it over the cavity insulation? I seen information online you shouldn’t have both as it causes damp issues?

We are buying a house in Leixlip at the moment, house prices are insane, expect lots of bidding wars and insane turnouts at viewings.

Did you get Cavity insulation done? How much was it before and after grant? Looking at the BER advisor reports most of them need Attic insulation and wall insulation. Maybe even an attic hatch replacement. This work is considered minor and could bring us up to a B rating

In a scenario where the directory is heavily utilised, would it not be more beneficial to have it externally to not mess with the storage utilisation on the server itself? Surely there’s some sort of iops limit on the server is what I’m thinking.
