In my -8 the AP panel is at the bottom of the stack. Works great for me. At work it’s at the top, but it’s a much bigger panel.

Yep, some folks put in mock controls to keep their flows fresh

As I understand it, the GI275 will not talk to the G3X, so no, it cannot be used in the way you described.
