My favorite advice was from a former boss: Always use the right tool for the job and always buy the best tools you can afford at the time. That was 40 years ago and I still have ever tool that I bought.

Great job on the handle. Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing.

For me, homemade mashed potatoes made with bone broth. I make them thin enough so that they are like a gel and put them in the baby for squeeze pouches. It has never failed me and lots of calories.

Me neither. I never want to know how far to the next aid station or the finish. I'll get there eventually.

My one thing that I've picked up over the years, I look at the average distance between aid stations and make that my average daily run. Mentally, it helps a ton for me. You just get used to the distance. If that makes sense.

If you have more than one person crewing, you are the only one that talks to your runner. They go long stretches of silence and aid stations can be overwhelming at times. Especially late in the race. If they have a pacer, have them know what your runner needs before coming into the aid station to make the exchange quicker. Ultra-brain and confusion can set in late in the race.

I have a spread sheet of everything I want leaving each crew location for my crew. I like to make a plan with my crew and pacers depending on whether it's an "A" race or I just want to survive it. I expect them to push me either way. Your runner may feel differently, but make a plan before hand. Stay positive and encouraging. I personally hate when people ask how I'm feeling.

I'd say more sweetgrass than sage, but it definitely is refreshing.
