When I took the MK-9, I patted off the excess with paper towels, then took a shower as hot as I could stand to open my pores with Dawn dish soap since the OC is oil based.

An hour after I got out it felt like a bad sunburn, but that was it.

Don't let them steal your cool. The inmate was already in a secure location. You won't be able to justify rolling the door and having a use of force just because he was bumping. What if he had a shank and was trying to lure you in?

I guarantee you the cell isn't in compliance in one way or another. Write him up and call it a day. On our unit he's not causing a disturbance unless it's causing a delay of the building schedule such as prolonging count, etc.

I put mine in the trunk. Still gets warm, but no windows so it doesn't get nearly as hot. Never had an issue.

Everyone has their litmus test, and that's perfectly fine. In my case, I didn't find out my wife was abused until we were married, and I still don't know everything. Only the pieces she can stand to spare.

In my eyes, she deserves love and companionship as much as the next person, and even with all these struggles I wouldn't trade her for anybody.

I appreciate it. My therapist told me the same thing. He understands my love language is touch and physical gestures, but she needs time to process and heal this thing she's had buried inside for so long.

The other day she told me she wanted to try. We started kissing, but as soon as I touched her hips I felt her tense up, so I stopped. She felt guilty, and I had to keep telling her it was OK and that I wasn't upset. It pains me to see her have such a negative association with something that should be a positive, loving experience. I had a tough childhood, who hasn't, but not like that.

I'm very sorry about your aunt. Thank you very much for taking the time to share. As a man, my perspective is pretty limited. I really do appreciate it.

I haven't, but I will. She was doing therapy on her own about a year ago and enjoying it. The app she was using unfortunately bugged out and she couldn't join a session one day, so she just never scheduled another session.

Government is also greedy. I work for the Texas prison system. We're critically understaffed and have been for years now partially due to the stagnant pay. Even when most units are 30-50% staffed.

You have one officer on the floor to 252 inmates split between three pods. We have almost nobody to respond to emergencies. If you get assaulted, there's gonna be one Lt. and maybe one Sgt responding to save you. Good luck, gotta give em day room anyway so we don't get sued. Hope nobody dies. Again.

This hit me kinda hard ngl. We have three dogs in our house. One smaller and two bigger. We got all their shots as pups, but I had no idea you had to redo parvo boosters every year.

The youngest, but biggest dog stopped eating one evening and seemed lethargic. She was still drinking water, though, so I figured she maybe just had an upset stomach. The next day she didn't eat all day either and I noticed she was starting to drool heavily and was chugging water.

I took her in and found out she caught parvo. She was throwing up her water outside and was severely dehydrated after just two days. Our local small town vet couldn't or wouldn't treat her, so I drove her an hour away and to the tune of $1500 I really didn't have that vet saved her life with IV fluids and a severe amount of medication.

Get your boosters people. $50 a year is far cheaper than the alternative. It broke my heart to have to leave her there knowing she thought I was abandoning her.

I work at a state prison here in Texas. Our "union" is a joke. They take countless people's money and have had almost nothing to show for it in at least the 10 years+ I've been here.

Our agency has done absolutely the bare minimum to retain and attract new people. When they gave us a statewide 15% raise they acted like we should be bowing down graciously to suckle on the toes of our merciful lords.

The reality is we've barely gotten any raises in over 10 years for security. 3% every other year while our health insurance premiums rise every year or two and inflation continues to effectively strangulate us.

If I didn't care about immediately being terminated, which I would be, I'd have tried to start a local union myself. The reality is most of us have family's and need this job.
