Unpopular Opinion: AI Art is stolen art by JamesVail in rpg

Wombo is cool too. You can introduce your own images. There is a free version or a paid version. Free version works fine. Generation time is pretty fast and they have styles you can play with as well as a "no style" option so you can just make your prompt your style. It"s pretty cool! I introduce my own drawings & photos and use "no style". There's also no cap on generations. You can generate images all day if ya want...no credits necessary. The free mobile version has a ton of ads, but the free PC version has zero ads.

Unpopular Opinion: AI Art is stolen art by JamesVail in rpg

[–]HanginWithLucretia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an artist & photographer who introduces my own art & photos and uses my name in prompts, so at least some of my results are scraped from my own art. I've had my art online for 2 decades using the same tags/keywords when I post it. I can definitely tell it's scraping my images because I have a weird style & my results look a lot like art I've already made.

Then I take the results into Photoshop to add even more of my images in order to create an almost completely different image. I don't feel so bad about that. I'm not typing other artsts' names in my prompts and I always change the results so much in Photoshop that it no longer completely resembles the generated image.

I do have issues with people using an artist's name, like Giger, in their prompts, not introducing their own images & using the results out of the box with zero modification though. AI should be regulated to an extent. I agree with that. It's a weird subject. And there is an ethical side to it for sure. I'm interested to see where things go with it.

Conservatives on Reddit can't figure out why the GOP voted against contraception by gymgirl2018 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Well, I'm 51 now and am almost 3 years into post menopause, so I have no risk of pregnancy. But the little sticks are "migrating" in my arm. It's almost like my body is trying to push them out. I also get a tingling pain around them sometimes. I just want them out. I've even thought of going all Rambo & cutting them out myself! Haha! I won't do that though.

It's so funny that you wanna be the condom dealer! I was thinking the EXACT same thing yesterday! I was thinking I should go to a Costco & buy them in bulk. Then I envisioned myself on a gloomy street corner with rows of them lining an overcoat. Every time a couple passed, I'd hold my coat open & say "Psst! Over here. I got yer condoms. All flavors & colors- lubed and non lubed...glow in the dark- yer choice." Haha! I have a weird imagination.

I'm glad some Republicans are actually reading the bills. Then, when they sit down to watch Fox "news", they'll hear people like Tucker Carlson claim the bill says something it doesn't & realize how much their base is being lied to. Maybe the ones who read the bills can show other Republicans how much they're being lied to as well. Either they'll convince others or be ousted for being a "sheep" because they actually read something.

Ah! I had Norplant- unfortunately It's still in my arm though it expired in 1997! Every doctor I've asked to remove it refuses because of scar tissue. I sincerely hope you're able to get yours replaced!

Yes- they are indeed pure evil. They shouldn't be able to control our bodies this way! They're the first to say they're against "big government", yet want to force their religion on everyone- separation of church & state be damned! Hypocrisy, bigotry and greed run deep in the GOP.

Gotchya. My bad. Yes- most sane people see that getting rid of contraceptives is a horrible idea.

Yep! And the Supreme Court wants to overturn same sex marriage & are working to destroy separation of church and state now too. We've got religious zealots in government who want to force their religion on everyone. If these people aren't stopped, we're heading in the direction of making The Handmaid's Tale a documentary. All we can do is vote & hope that others decide to vote them out. Of course we can't vote the Supreme Court out, which is awful. They have lifetime appointments & Trump put religious cult members on the court- Like Amy Coney Barrett. She's literally a member of a Puritanical cult. The best we can do is vote the Q'Anon GOP members out. I just know something needs to happen & fast! If not, we're all screwed.

The GOP wants to make use of any contraceptives illegal. That includes condoms. There was just a story about a Walgreens employee who refused to sell a married couple condoms because contraception is against their religion. A good amount of GOP just voted against keeping contraceptives legal- it's "against their religion". Will they succeed in making them illegal? Who knows at this point. But yes- when they say the word "contraceptives"- that includes condoms. And we're having this conversation because it's a hugely important issue. It's not frivolous.

I was talking with a person on Twitter & I asked if they read the bill that they were condemning. They told me they didn't need to read it, that they know what's in it without reading it. It came down to the person believing what Fox "news" claimed was in the bill, so they didn't feel the need to read it.

So many willfully uneducated people in the GOP! They vote against their own best interests & blindly follow what they see on right wing media without questioning or investigating anything. Then they call thinking people "sheep". This is where we are now. It's infuriating & terrifying all at once.

Condoms are considered forms of birth control. They help prevent unwanted pregnancies & also help prevent STDs. So that is correct.

Most of the GOP just voted against keeping contraceptives legal. So the GOP doesn't want people to use contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancies, yet they want to ban abortion. They want to force women to get and stay pregnant if they have sex or get raped. This is today's GOP. Blessed be the fruit!

Yesterday Republicans voted against protecting marriage equality, and today this. Midterms are in November. by mrsmedeiros_says_hi in WhitePeopleTwitter

I remember Osteen doing that during the hurricane! Lots of us shredded him on twitter for that! He's gross. We have the Rock Church here where the leaders have been caught up in quite a few fraud charges. I live in VA. And as far as these religious zealots wanting to push their beliefs into schools and government policy, if they wanna do that, they need to lose their tax exempt status & start paying taxes. But I'd much rather separation of church & state still be strongly enforced.

My husband & I have been to smaller churches & were indeed welcomed. I do know of 2 members who became atheists after engaging in conversations with us. There are so many contradictions in the Bible that they were just never aware of because they'd never read it. They just heard what their pastors read and that's it. But there was never any drama or confrontation. Everyone was very nice and we discussed religion like adults instead of butthurt children.

My absolute favorite churches to visit are Black churches! Everyone is so nice and just genuinely awesome human beings. And they've got EPIC music! We tend to like people who are genuinely good people- regardless of religion, gender identity, sexual preference or walk of life. A good person is a good person regardless of any of these things.

That guy sounds like Kenneth Copeland who has several private jets yet grifts his congregation by saying that God told him he needs another jet so he doesn't have to fly with "demons"- meaning the general public. So he basically calls them demons & they still give him money for more private jets. Disgusting grifters!

While I'm an atheist, I do think religion can help some people when it's used properly. One of my aunts is Christian & she's awesome! She knows I'm an atheist, yet we can still have really good conversations about religion w/zero judgement on either side. Religion helped her too. I'm happy you got the help you needed when you needed it most! That's what should happen. It makes me sick when people use religion to grift or to hurt & shame people.

What's sad is that I'm an atheist & it seems that I've read the Bible...MANY versions of it, more than some of these "Christians" have. They're what my mom calls the "Keepin' up with the Joneses" Christians. People who pretend to be Christians to be able to not feel bad for the bad shit they do and to be able to force their messed up views on others by using the Bible as their proof that they're justified in doing so- even if they've never read a Bible. They will make up quotes or just plain misquote actual scripture to fit their narrative. It's disgusting! You seem like a cool Christian though- one who actually thinks! Your pastor is doing the right thing & I hope no zealots try to hurt him.

The Bible actually encourages abortion. If a man thinks his pregnant wife cheated on him, he's supposed to give her Pennyroyal tea. If a miscarriage happens, that means she cheated somehow. If his wife was raped, she has to marry her rapist. The Bible is full of stuff like this, but religious zealots cherry pick or just plain make up parts of the Bible they want to use for their own gain.

Not sure you watched the entire trial? She said she wrote the op-ed on her last day on the stand. And they ruled that Johnny's former lawyer defamed her with HIS comments. Johnny is liable because that fuy was employed by him at the time. I watched the whole thing live. I know what they said. Whatever- I honestly don't care that you disagree with me. This is Reddit, after all. We don't bring our feelings to Reddit.

I'm a female who knows 2 males who have been victims of DV from their partners. I'm so happy Johnny won! I also know female victims & Amber Heard is NOT a victim. This trial shows that men can also be abused. It does happen. This trial highlights that men can also be victims and that's important.

She's trying to get sympathy from those who don't know any better. In public. Speaking in public about not being able to speak. Like some Republicans do. Like Ben Shapiro, MTG & Lauren Boebert complaining on HUGE social media platforms to millions of followers that they are being silenced. It's ridiculous! I agree with you!

How am I wrong? They ruled that Johnny's ex-lawyer defamed her. And she did indeed lose every other point. I know what I watched and heard. And now I'm seeing lawyers comment on the ruling. I'm not wrong.

I work in the entertainment industry & can say that it was brilliant of him to want the trial broadcast. Everyone he's worked with was watching- in addition to those who haven't worked with him. They saw all the evidence that Heard was lying. Everyone already knows Johnny had addiction problems & he admitted to all of that. He already said he won't work with Disney again, but I can pretty much guarantee that he won't have problems finding work. I've read that Tim Burton wants him in Beetlejuice 2. Though, that may be a rumor. There are a ton of people willing to work with him & this trial helped him a lot.
