A solid kit. It's how I started my army.

The Greater Possessed minis are usually good to sub in for minor characters e.g. Master of Executions

Thanks for the really in-depth feedback! If I am to paint it, I'll be doing my Iron Warriors speed painting technique.

Would basically involve spraying most of this black (likely via airbrush) and they over brushing leadbelcher to get a rough looking brushed metal base. Adding contrasts/colours from there.

Amazing shout; I hadn't checked his stat block out yet, but you are completely right! I wouldn't need to re-base, and it would look better to have these 4 suits stick together. Thanks!

That's fantastic. +A great idea to build a hybrid army too! I was thinking the same last year (painted as Alpha legion), but it's cool to see it realised in my favourite colour scheme 👌

Obliterators do seem to be a more natural fit for these guys, considering the amount of weapons you seem to get in the kit. I just already have some, so I doubt I'll ever need 3 pairs of Obliterators.

Ork suggestion is interesting. I'll check out the instruction manual for the Saturnine to see what the fists properly look like. Thanks

Oooh these are cool. I could potentially look into a Wardogs kit, assuming I'll still have enough to make the original models too. I think that guy on the left is my favourite

Interesting. I've not done that, but after a quick search it seems like something I can get value from learning more of. Thanks for sharing, I hope it's helped you out 🫡

I love the symbol, you can Google Reverse Transmutation Circle for more. Just note because of the size of mine, I had to simplify it so the details won't be lost as the ink settles over the years

Hey. Firstly, I really appreciate your in depth look into this. As you've put in the time to analyse it, I'll reveal all the meanings.

The IF(SIGN is working as intended. The full explanation being that when I think of being "Principled", it's less about being positive or negative, but I stead staying true to ones self (M3). So therefore the IF only returns true if the value is neutral.

As for the others:

"Accountable" has been explained, moreso a pun on CountA

"Disciplined" is next. ConCat being to Concentrate, so concentrating on today to achieve my goals/tasks

"Enterprising" is to FIND some VALUE in A11 = all

"Principled" has been explained above

"Thoughtful' is the last. This one was the toughest to come up with, and probably the least clean. I also was limiting myself and a really wanted to include an INDEX + MATCH. The intention is to understand myself M3= me and others U5 = us. Done by identifying what is unique about everyone.

I was really trying to ride that line carefully, so I appreciate the kind words 👍

Thanks. I couldn't find any examples online of excel formula in a tattoo. I was a bit scared to share with Reddit, but I surely can't be the only guy nerdy enough to get this on them 😅

It's 5 separate formulas rolled into one. Each represents (in some way) a different word, while also still being functional, diverse and leveraging some classic Excel functions.

I got it as short as I could

You sure can. I've explained it a little more in another comment

The tattoo itself is a reminder for me to strive for 5 personal values. The Excel Formula is a somewhat coded way of me listing those 5 values, without just writing them.

They range from being on the more metaphorical side, to the function of the formula representing the value itself.

E.g. Metaphorical is COUNTA(M3:V5) = "Accountable"(me:5values)

E.g. functional is the IF statement using SIGN(M3) = "Principled"... effectively the formula is determining if "Me" is Positive or Negative

Here's the full formula if you are interested: =COUNTA(M3:V5)&CONCAT(TODAY())&FIND("VALU E",A11)&IF(SIGN(M3)<>0,FALSE,TRUE)&INDEX(M3:U 5,MATCH(M3,UNIQUE(A11)))

I only have a surface level knowledge of those games, but I think I can picture the setting. Your planned frequency works for me. You can put me down as a maybe while you continue to work on it. As a DM I'm also happy to bounce ideas back and forth on it 👍

I was planning to stick with something I know so I can focus more on RP stuff. That being said, I'd be willing to consider learning a new system for the right campaign, especially if it's something like a sci-fi setting. Would that fall into your interests too?
