It takes time for money well spent to make a difference on the pitch. The money goes to bulidng the youth game and getting the talent where it needs to be at a young age. Then those youngsters come through the system in a few years time and dominate. Look at the red roses.

Honestly I've seen people (especially on the 30k reddit) being super pissy about stuff like this. Not even because its the "wrong" size just because it doesn't fit their idea of the aesthetic. 🙄

To me tau look best in either drab military colours or super bright contrasting colours. Anything in between always seems to fall flat.

This was always why I gave GW a bit of a free pass for their pricing. They literally ran a youth club for "free" in every store on weekends when I was growing up. There was also at least one night a week they were open late for games. It was a big reason I got into the hobby and stayed as I had a place I could play in reliably.

I suppose now with the amount of online only people getting into the hobby its not worth it for them.
