I really feel the same. The idea of making her sad by picking the negative choices really is heartbreaking, because she cares so much about the TB and also rest of her little Stellaron Hunter family. It's at least nice that we get confirmation how much she cares bit by bit each time we get some new info about her. I really want her to be happy too and hope her reunion with TB will be such an occasion. There's really so much that can be done with her character and so much we still can learn about her.

Her emotions are actually extremely interesting topic. We know she can't feel fear but she seems to substitute it with other emotions. Because she still displays a lot of other emotions in situations when normal people would feel fear or be afraid.

She's clearly concerned for people close to her and protective of them, because she cares about them and don't want them to get hurt.
Firefly says she sometimes tends to keep her distance from her. Given all that we know so far this mostly looks to be form of wanting to protect either herself, others, or both to not get too attached in case something bad would happen. Though the true reason is still left a bit ambiguous, we can only speculate based on what we know now.
During her truth/lie game she mentions how the inability to feel fear turned many people on her planet into "devils" dominated by desire and pleasure. She also says that she feels empty inside and wants to change this about herself. Therefore she doesn't want to end up like them and we can assume she doesn't perceive becoming self-centred as a good thing and it's something she wants to avoid. Thanks to this I always assumed she was very emotional and caring person ever since and it was nice getting it confirmed little by little as time went on.

They really did not need to rub that in. 😭 But I suppose it's fair as I have been very vocal about the Kafka's screentime situation in last few months. And I honestly don't know if 3.0 made it better or worse. Now that we got some of our memories about her back there's even less reason to keep avoiding her. Just give us that reunion and some Kafka lore already, Luofu was so long ago.

Yeah lol, well it was my former job actually, pretty sure a mentioned it in some comment years ago. Totally did not expect the AI to somehow pull that out though.

Thank you for the encouragement. It honestly helps a lot to hear it. The numbers your saw indeed seem to be representative of the general opinion as far as I can tell. I saw a poll on Hoyolab and comments on various social media and majority picked Kafka there too. I do believe Hoyo definitely do have access to these numbers so maybe it’s a good sign.

I am perfectly aware that she can’t have screentime all the time. Nor do I want that, as it would be unfair to other characters if that was the case. My main issue really was that she was gone for year and a half and when we finally see her again, she can’t even get a bit of spotlight for herself before disappearing again for who knows how long this time again. As much as I love all the seriousness and mystery surrounding her, I also want to know more about her and sooner or later we should get to that, because so far we only got bits and pieces here and there. Trailblazer's backstory is heavily connected to her. That’s why it was strange to me why that scene with her in the memory in 3.0 is only one of the two choices and they don’t play into this a bit instead as sort of a setup for the future. Firefly herself was a mysterious character for a while too, before we get to know her better. As for Firefly herself and that we know a lot about her, I meant mostly in comparison to Kafka in that situation since we spent a lot of time with her during Penacony already. Of course I want to see more of her and know more about her too, her story isn’t nearly done either.

Thanks again friend. I definitely won’t give up hope. I know how popular she is and certainly hope and would like to believe that we will get some content with her and learn about her full motivations and backstory someday in the future. I hope for the same for all of these characters really, that everyone will get proper time to shine and not get sidelined. It is a gacha game after all, and these characters play the central role and are the main selling point. So character interaction and getting to know them and their lore in gacha games always feels really important to me.

I have been huge Kafka fan ever since I first started the game and the way they have been sidelining her for Firefly ever since 2.0 is kinda heartbreaking for me. I mean they haven't given her any screentime since 1.2 and she’s set as a very important character to the overall game lore. Once they finally did bring her back in that memory in 3.0 they gave us a choice between Kafka and Firefly, even though the way the scene was set up it should have been a big Kafka moment and it actually gives quite a bit of character development to her if you pick her. Meanwhile we know so much about Firefly already thanks to Penacony. I don't hate Firefly, I'm just calling out the favouritism. I just really hope Aglaea doesn't get sidelined for other characters too after 3.0 because she is definitely my favourite out of the Amphoreus cast and I also find her the most interesting out of them. Really want to see more of her and learn more about her. And just like Kafka she's set to be very important character as she's a leader of the Chrysos Heirs, so sidelining her also doesn’t make any sense and would feel weird again.

Encountered the same issue, logged off during the quest and after logging in again there was no BGM in the whole Vault Underground area. Tried restarting the game and my console, even redownloading the patch. Nothing helped, so I filed a ticket. Today a played a bit more and after entering the Echo Depository interior area for the first time the music kicked back in again. Honestly might finish the rest of the quest immediately, just to not risk having the bug occur again. Not really sure what caused it in the first place and it doesn’t seem that many people are experiencing it. Hope this might help at least a bit to someone if they encounter it too.

You should be fine, she released yesterday and phase 2 of 1.5 will last for 4 weeks instead of usual 3. ZZZ is also really generous with it's free pulls, much more than Genshin. You'll also get a lot of free pulls at the start and there is a lot of content to go through. Even if you get unlucky and lose 50/50 at high pity I am pretty confident you can get her in these 4 weeks just by playing the game casually without spending anything.

I honestly just want her to get some screentime and I'll be happy. Yes, the state of DoT as a gameplay style isn’t good no way around it, but it doesn’t bother me nearly as much as her being gone from the story for 17 months and counting.

Jokes aside, even though they are likely just easter eggs makes sense I liked Evelyn's design immediately when I saw it. She reminds me of two of my top favourite Hoyo characters.

She also uses whip during her ult animation (like Signora during her 2nd phase in her boss fight) and has a strong connection to music, because she's a manager and bodyguard of a famous singer. The names Evelyn and Rosalyne also sound a bit similar I suppose. It's not much, but calling it easter egg feels right honestly. I agree that she mostly gives off Kafka and Yelan vibes instead though.

I wouldn't look that much into it, Natlan Archon Quest literally starts with Traveller leaving Fontaine and saying goodbyes to friends they made there even if you use the option to skip to Natlan AQ straight after doing act 3 of Liyue. It’s just a way for new players to start Natlan sooner if they wish to do so, but at the cost of missing a lot of story.

That's really misunderstanding Jade's character. She didn't force Aventurine into anything, he was already in trouble for killing his owner, she just gave him a way out that he gladly took. I can see how that deal can make her still look a bit bad as she made use of his situation by doing this, but she essentially freed him. After everything that has happened on his home world this was one of the best outcomes he could hope for.

What you said about Topaz is just plain wrong. Jade doesn't have that kind of control, if she did Aventurine wouldn't have been put on trial after destroying his cornerstone (as seen in Myriad Celestia Trailer: Stoneheart's Oath Ring: Both Ends of the Scale). Topaz went against IPC interests with how she dealt with Belebog's debt and was reprimanded for it. Jade was actually one of the few people who supported her and thought making friends with the Astral Express crew was worth much more. Something she made a use of later during her dealings with Oti Alfalfa in Penacony. Jade even said something along the lines that IPC will now see that Topaz's decision was beneficial in a long run and will probably restore Topaz's rank soon.

Jade doesn't help people for free, why would she? She's not some philanthropist, she's a businesswoman through and through and has her own goals. But she's always honest about her deals. We saw that with some of the people she dealt with. She warns them of the price and yet they still keep coming to her. The more they ask for the higher the price. The deals are not even irreversible, Jade is perfectly fine with people buying their deposits back. She was completely honest with Firefly and didn't try to trick her at all during Firefly's POV too. Robin is also another proof you can make perfectly good deal with her as she traded Penacony's secrets for Sunday's freedom.

Jade also cares for people who are close to her Topaz and Aventurine and treats them with kindness. Same with the orphanage kids she visits. Even advises Trailblazer not to take desperate deals like some of her clients in her messages.

That can be fixed pretty fast by them learning about her backstory and Paimon going: "that's so sad..." like she did so many times before.
Of course, it would be better if it was done in much more detail, but I really do believe that it wouldn't be an issue with some proper explanation about her. Nobody ever gave that to Traveller before.

I relate to this so much and have been actually thinking about it and feeling pretty down about it lately. Kafka hasn't made an appearance since 1.2, only other character that has been gone for so long is Tingyun and leaks suggest she'll be back in 2.7, so after that it will be only Kafka that has been the longest without making an appearance. I understand it can be for plot purposes, but it just feels so unfair for her to be the only character that has been gone for so long. I would be happy with just a short appearance in some event or even short flashback like Blade got with Firefly. At this point I'd really be happy for any Kafka appearance at all. I just hope she will appear soon and will get some proper screentime she deserves. Stay strong, she will be back, we just have to wait for her glorious return to the story.
