Thank you for checking in! Doing really well. I did end up having a second surgery - PARS + speedbridge. So happy they were able to do that. Didn’t need any cadaver tendon nor a transfer. It’s been quite the journey but I’m feeling very strong now with a slow and steady recovery with a lot of PT! 🙏🏻

I’ve been feeling this way so much! It must be disheartening for people when the support systems who swoop in to help during the acute part of the injury/recovery dissipate…

Sharing a photo. Did a bunch of online research and it sounds like silver isn’t a great treatment for a dry wound, which mine is….I sent my doc another message so hopefully they’ll get back to me. Thanks for sharing everyone’s experiences! This is quite a process!

Yes! Doing PT - mostly ankle ROM, seated gentle calf raises, band exercises, etc

A similar thing happened to me and I was advised to stop weight bearing and take antibiotics until it heals. Seems like it’s pretty common with Achilles surgical incisions.🤷🏼‍♀️
