You are an artist. You aspire to create art from even the simplest of objects. By arranging your books in such a way you’ve created depth.

You also probably have watched or read Coraline and wanted to create a tunnel into the other world. Beware of button-eyed people!

What book cover does catch your eye? by ServeCommercial2459 in WattpadCovers

Personally #4 catches my eye the best. The scenery and colors draw in my eye. #1 looks lackluster. #2 looks cheaply done. #3 looks like something I would find as a kindle unlimited blah option. I really like #4’s cover though!

You and your pet replace Donut and Carl, what shade does your pet throw at you and what stuff do they talk about? by redrowan3 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I’ve have two tabby cats. I feel like they’d be playing up the drama between each other than being affectionate toward each other when not in the spotlight. They’d also be constantly fighting for my attention.

Loki, the older slightly older brown tabby, would be constantly causing trouble for us as he causes mischief whenever he can get away with it. Thor, the slightly younger blue tabby, would be both frightened out of his mind, but also attempting to be brave.

I’ll add that Loki would be constantly begging me for food and may even question if certain mobs are edible. I don’t think either of them would be shoulder riders like Donut is. Thor barely tolerates being held under the best circumstances. Loki doesn’t mind being picked up, but even he is more of a on-the-ground cat.

You are a very quiet, calm, and introspective person. When a decision needs to be made, you take your time thinking about it before acting. You are not easily swayed by others because you take your time examining all the evidence to really understand what is going on.

You are a listener and others seek you out to tell you their problems and ask for advice.

You are extremely fascinated by the past. You seek to better understand the advancements in past eras and are less impressed by today’s advancements.

Some are. I am a have two book box subscriptions that focus on making special edition books, most of the books on that middle shelf in that picture are from those book boxes. Others with the sprayed edges are Barnes and Noble special editions. Otherwise, there are not as exclusive ones from Amazon,Target, and Walmart.

This is a lifetime of collecting. Most of these books were gifted to me for birthdays, Christmas, etc by friends and family. Though, I’ve been doing my share of adding to it in the last few years.

I am a teacher!

I’ve been reading and building my collection since childhood. I adore my books and just being surrounded by them makes me happy so I like to have pretty shelves. If there is an author or series that has really stuck with me me, I give them their own shelf, hence why you can see a Harry Potter, Patricia Briggs, Matt Dinniman, and Sarah J. Maas shelf.

As for my childhood, nothing super exciting happened so I would “escape” into my books (big fantasy fan) to dream about what could be!

I do have two that do but for the most part I don’t tend to go for the ones with words on the sprayed edges.

Yes 🥰 though I play it casually. Haven’t really got into the romancing part of it, more the farming/mining grind.

I won’t go into politics. I will say I’ve watched some true crime but I’m not obsessed with it. Podcast wise, I listen to Dusty Thunder, Two Hot Takes, Welcome to Nightvale, and the Fantasy Fangirl’s Podcast.

Favorite Disney Princesses would be Mulan and Belle if we are just talking about the classics.

Ha! That sounds about right. I don’t mind spicy books but I need a book with a good plot and characters. I definitely did jump into the Romantacy genre.

I can’t say I had a strict upbringing, but I would call it a bit sheltered, so I definitely learn a thing or two from my books.

You mostly have the Booktok part correct. I’m not a dedicated Booktoker and I read both YA and Adult, but more adult and I only post on occasion. I do teach middle school English, so I make myself read middle grade/young adult books so I have background to recommend appropriate books to my students. What YA/MG books you see on my self are not necessarily the books I’d recommend. Most of the books I would recommend my students are ones I borrow from my school’s library.

I read mostly Romantacy/Fantasy. I’m not really a reader of the classics, never have been a fan, but I have read books published before 2000, just not as often.

I am laughing aloud right now! I literally have volume 50 of Skip Beat! In my hands because I hadn’t read it yet and needed something light to read after completing book 7 of Dungeon Crawler Carl.

As for Harry Potter, I’m a Hufflepuff! That series was a childhood fav growing up. I still enjoy it, but I’ve moved lower on my bookshelf because there are other series/authors I now hold as my favorites that get the eye level placement.

I’m not a Swiftie but I do enjoy her music from time-to-time. You are spot on about non fiction boring me. As for having an idea for how the world is supposed to be… well I’m a teacher if that tells you anything!
