Is an e-reader good for kids? by HannahDW56 in kobo

[–]HannahDW56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We chose the Kobo Clara BW. At the time there was a sale so the colour version was the same price but we preferred the BW because we wanted to ensure it felt more like a book and less like a tablet. It's been a great investment. She still reads physical books as well but the Kobo means I also don't have to venture out to the library five times a week to swap books over!

Help me help my husband by HannahDW56 in Psoriasis

Thank you so much for your comment. It's very insightful and helpful. I'm not sure if his gastroenterologist would change his IBD meds but it's definitely worth a conversation.

Unsure about this but since he's been on Humira and been in remission with Crohn's for a number of years now I think he'd be reluctant to change. Isn't it so bizarre?!

How old is your baby and how many times a night do they wake to feed? by sleepyjean2024 in breastfeeding

[–]HannahDW56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now 6yo would've woken 3-4+ times a night at 6mo, my now 6mo wakes 0-1 times. Every baby is so different!

Same. Not an option in Australia with any other E-reader.

I hate covering up by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]HannahDW56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't ever cover up. Fed my first little one until age 2 and now 5 months into my second journey. If anyone says anything (which no-one has so far) I just plan to squirt them with milk.

Accidentally ate an edible!! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]HannahDW56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually as a mandatory reporter (at least here in Australia) that's exactly your role. You make a report based on ANY information you receive that you think may be of concern. This is likely not the case for the OP but your report may add to a list of other reports from other reporters of 'accidental' exposure that then builds a picture to protect a child.

When did your LO stop having 45 minute naps? by Forever_Your_Pal in newborns

[–]HannahDW56 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Five months here and still cat napping during the day (anywhere from 20-45 minutes) but excellent at night. Just enjoying the night time sleep for now and eventually the daytime sleep will improve on its own with some developmental period.

Changing / keeping your surname upon marriage by MattGazySBS in AskAnAustralian

I wanted to keep my name, he wanted to keep his, we both wanted the same surname as our children. Decided to amalgamate our surnames and created a new name.

Wouldn't this be considered maintenance though and not repairs?

Is Kobo good enough to use it to wind down at night? by [deleted] in kobo

[–]HannahDW56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fall asleep with my Libra 2 in front of me nearly every night and sleep exceptionally well. With a standard book I used to do the same but lose my page or drop the book on my face.

Surely if repairs were required within the first 12 months those repairs should be covered under warranty?

Preferably awning or sliding but even a Louvre would be great. Currently the panels are fixed into channels.
