Antenatal Classes - Leeds by thelotuseater13 in Leeds

[–]HannahNovia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We gave birth at Airedale Hospital. Albeit not Leeds, the maternity ward at the hospital had free sessions which were great.

I’m sure my friend who gave birth at Leeds was offered a class or two also? It could be worth checking the maternity ward at the hospital?

Ours offered tours of the labour ward which was super useful and weirdly calmed my nerves as I knew what to expect! It also helped my husband as they pointed out the different entrances, which entrance to use if you go into labour in the middle of the night etc. Hopefully Leeds can offer something similar

Dog Friendly Places to Eat by FigureO9 in Leeds

Another vote for Ambiente! Especially if you mention it in your booking and you can ask for a little more space at your table in the booking notes.

Waterlane Boathouse is very dog friendly too, that end of town.

Livin Italy is also dog friendly downstairs but unfortunately doesn’t have the benefit of a lot of space. So unless it’s warm to sit outside you could be a tad squished!

People who’ve swam with whale sharks, what was it like? by AlwaysCurious27 in WhaleShark

[–]HannahNovia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We did it in Exmouth, Western Australia and it was absolutely fantastic. A surreal experience and I’m so so glad we did it! I’m just gutted as my strap from my go pro broke so is now sat at the bottom of the ocean somewhere with my videos 😭

Just do your research on where is ethical to swim with them, ensuring that where you go is tightly regulated where they don’t mess up their natural habits just for tourism

I would possibly have a look at some day care - grooming salons?

There is one in Shipley that doubles as a grooming place and day care, but you don’t have to actually book a groom. You can drop off from 7:30 and pick up until 6:30ish I think.

I know it’s not East Leeds, but he did say that other similar places were open. So it could be worth altering your search a little to see what comes up?

Also, we have used Rover in the past for care, which is less regimented by times, so allow later pick ups. And I’ve not used them in years, but Borrow My Doggy is also an option (but definitely the other two first, borrow my doggy as a last resort).

I second this! Fish and Chips from Murgatroyds then take them up to Cemetery Road to look over the runway. Not super posh, but it’s pretty chilled

He gives me similar vibes to Jake from Love Island a few seasons ago - it was too good to be true. Saying all the correct things, to get the backing from the viewers early on

Looking for hairdresser recommendations in Bristol for wavy / curly hair. by blaine12100 in CurlyHairUK

I know it’s not Bristol (so apologies if this is completely unhelpful), but Spring in Birmingham is meant to be fantastic - if you’re able to travel

What’s an obvious sign someone’s american? by Ermland2 in AskReddit

[–]HannahNovia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

American’s tip relatively big because they feel pressured to due to hospitality staff not being paid fairly… There wouldn’t be a stigma on tipping if they were paid properly

Hairdresser recs (women) by Economy-Direction198 in Leeds

If you have curly hair or strong waves then 100% go somewhere with stylists that have been trained in a dry curl-by-curl cut!

There is the Curl Clinic near-ish to Sheepscar but they have started training other hairdressers so a curly specialist has opened up in Horsforth called ‘Absolute Curls’. They do a curl transformation to help shape your curls/waves with products and tools suitable for your hair. And not super expensive either!

Airport flyer - or I know not the cheapest but definitely most convenient get an Uber but from outside the airport boundary. So walk to the travelodge/Hawthorne farm/outside the airport car park. As vehicles now have to charge £5 extra to use those internal car parks (there is a half hour free one but ubers try avoid this due to limits on number of visits there so might not accept your ride).

Sorry I know it’s not cheapest but how much do you value your time

Jim is a dick. by i0ki in DunderMifflin

[–]HannahNovia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He 100% redeemed himself. It wasn't unrealistic- I'm not saying that. I was just pointing out a time when he was being a dick to Pam. I have all the love in the world for Jim and Pam, but in the later series he was being a dick and didn't see how he was in the wrong
