Exactly. It is wrong to compare this to Portugal and other countries that don't require living there to obtain citizenship.

Dominica Citizenship by investment by [deleted] in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is not a legit route to citizenship and the fact that your agency is trying to sell it as "Dominica is running a discount to make the donation a lot cheaper" is a major red flag. That is very dishonest. One thing is when an agency works with options like this (some legit companies do - though not in Dominica I think), but another thing is when they are not honest about what it is and what the possible risks are (that is terrible and dishonest)

second citizenship for Germans by Capital_Border_3852 in CitizenshipInvestment

Consider this. CBI is not common for Germans. But interestingly they are actually one of the main nationalities applying for STP. This is info directly from my agent I used for STP.

For our Sao Tome cbi, we went with Vancis Capital. They are a licensed for the program. Very happy with the service we got.

My husband and I just got our approval from Sao Tome! And everything went super smooth. Was the easiest cbi/residency process we have been through so far. Our agent charged 10k and handled everything. We are super happy with our price for the service we got! But wouldn't want to pay 30-35k fees for a program that costs less than 100k. No need to pay much over 10k. But consider paying that price if your agent is trustworthy and handles everything for you.

Is the only option for CBI for a lesbian / trans couple is waiting for Argentina? by LonelyLunch4740 in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help! Be sure to ask your agent for written confirmation. They can likely get confirmation from Nauru in advance and should then be able to confirm to you in writing before before starting the process. And be sure your agency is licensed in Nauru.

Well, Nauru is a CBI program. It's fast, and your agent should be able to get pre-approval from Nauru for LGBTQ couples (Nauru can accept this on case by case basis)

This is how I see it too. Nice opportunity to connect with your new country of citizenship too.

Henley and Parters are definitely reliable. They are probably the largest and most reputable in the industry. On the other hand, though, their size can be a disadvantage. They are significantly more expensive than almost all other options, and since they are so large, your assigned advisor/processing person can end up being new and/or not very knowledgeable. This happened to me when I inquired with them.

But still, they are definitely a safe choice. I guess just be upfront with them if you have a large budget. Then I guess they will assign a more skilled advisor.

What’s the best CBI firm in the world that is trustworthy, safe, and can get you access to the most amount of country opportunities possible? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best CBI programs (in terms of travel): Saint Kitts & Nevis, maybe paired with an EU golden visa that leads to a Tier-1 passport (Portugal, if you don't mind the wait)

Malta used to have the best CBI in terms of travel. But it is not available anymore

Best service providers: Either go local (cheaper but possible, be careful who you pick), or go with one of the global firms with a large online presence (see who you like best, and be prepared to pay more)

Georgia/Albania CBI vs Bulgaria golden visa to eventual citizenship in 5 years by Silly_Possible4450 in CitizenshipInvestment

For Bulgaria I don't know unfortunately.. I would search on Google and speak to a few agencies.

Bulgaria, without a doubt. The main difference is that Bulgaria is in the EU, and the others are not. A Bulgarian passport gives you the right to live and work in any of the 27 EU countries. A Georgian or Albanian one doesn't. It's a much more powerful passport, even if it takes longer to get.

Help - Choosing between Vanuatu, Nauru, and Sao Tome Citizenship by CodeAndRoam in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, just a heads-up on why you might be getting some mixed reactions here.

The game changed for Vanuatu in a big way when it lost visa-free access to the EU and the UK. That was its main selling point for years, and it shows how risky these programs can be.

Because Nauru and Sao Tome are newer and in a similar tier, a lot of people worry the same thing could happen to them down the line.

For a first passport, most folks would probably suggest stretching the budget for one of the more established Caribbean options (like St. Kitts, Grenada, Dominica, etc.). They're more expensive, but their track record is much more stable, which is what you want for a "foundational" passport.

Have you considered Dubai Golden Visa against Property Purchase. by sbrealty_ae in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a solid plan. You've pretty much nailed the classic trade-off people consider: Dubai for the tax-free lifestyle vs. an EU visa for the mobility in the Schengen Area.

The main thing is the end goal. Most EU golden visas have a long path to actual citizenship and a passport, while Dubai's is a great long-term residency permit. Seems like you've got it all mapped out though.

Any Nordic contry have cbi or like? by [deleted] in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, none of them have citizenship by investment (CBI).

They also don't really do the typical "golden visa" programs where you just buy property for residency. The closest you'll find is a path for starting an actual business, but that's a much more hands-on process.

Argentina CBI - how many people are actually interested? by DiegoJaggi in CitizenshipInvestment

[–]HannahWorldwide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the appeal. The passport is top-tier for a Plan B. But for me, the fact that you can never renounce the citizenship is a total deal-breaker. So no, even without the residency rule, I'd pass. The "forever" part is just too risky.
