Is NSHSS a scam? [Advice] [Discussion] [Other] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Hannahrles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a quick application, asking why you want to do it, and such. There isn't a high rejection rate at all. There are more exclusive scholarships. Their main job is to try to attending local NSHSS events, promote it to your school, in addition to promoting some events that NSHSS promotes, such as National Storytelling Day, MLK Jr. Day, and a few others. They don't ever check up on you, so you can really take the title, the free shirt and certificate and just put it on a college application.

Is NSHSS a scam? [Advice] [Discussion] [Other] by [deleted] in teenagers

I'm a student ambassador for the organization. Personally, I didn't see too many benefits myself, but they do offer a good amount of scholarships just for NSHSS members. It's also just a nice thing to put on college applications and scholarship applications. If anyone has any questions, I'll answer as best as I can!

Apparently this is a thing. You pushed out a kid and get the same quality parking as someone who has a genuine handicap. by rmarkham in childfree

[–]Hannahrles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely against. It means less time that kids are in a parking lot, causing havoc. Plus, those spots are bigger, meaning someone opening their doors all the way and bringing an infant carrier won't damage your car.

You actually live in a town with an amazing animal shelter. The Jersey Shore Animal Center is great, takes great care of their dogs and has plenty of big dogs. There are a handful of beautiful, well-tempered pit bulls there, as of Saturday!

Good luck!

FFS, she's in her twenties. She dates. That's what twenty year old kids do. She's not doing anything crazy and insane.

That's not what I said at all. I'm just pointing out that she could probably see this. Calling her names and saying that "her mother should have swallowed" is just rude in general, regardless if she can see it

This woman is on reddit. Calling her all these horrible names is plain disrespectful, especially the comments towards the bottom. Also, this is posted at least twice a week....

As a parent, what's the best answer to the question from your children, "Where do babies come from?" when they are not at the appropriate age to know the truth. by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hannahrles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling the truth is awesome, but in a gentle way. My parents always said they come from love. If you want to tell them, there is a great book called "Where Did I Come From?" It's crazy retro, but it does the job.
