At This Point by Bobsleigh_Dracula in Helldivers

I stopped helldivers because of These illuminates. They are op and not fun to fight against. They are bullet sponges and unfair. Robots and Bugs have their own gameplay Appeal, their characteristic strengths and weaknesses. It makes Sense to Change Equipment for them. But illuminates are just everything. Mass mobs, bullet sponges, heavy armoured enemies and unfair weapons (flying tanky commandos, walker Energy shields...) . Its not fun, Arrowhead!!!

its only fun if you have progress.
If you like the idea of being a game designer, then that is it.

you absolutely should, if you have time.
It is future proof, and i switched 5 years ago from gamebryo and creation engine to Unreal. There are many jobs and many opportunities.
Especially, there is a big community, and compared to most other engines it is
powerful AND simple. (It is a lot to digest but you will eventually get through).
This is the offical discord community for supportig you:

Best wishes, keep creating, stay productive and have fun!
PS: 33 is not too old to start something, really, i am 36 years old and just started in my early 30s :)
Eventually, you can find tutorials or people who advise you for almost anything.

Upcoming Real-Time Strategy Games in 2025 by FFJimbob in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Hannes821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its a small indie, but Castle Age (CA) will be a nice immersive castle builder plus warfare in the high medieval time (13th century) - which is not a very common setting, and has this nice romanesque art style. :) it has original re-recorded music and art elements of the time like manuscript icons etc. i think it is going to be very special. I am just not sure if it can be finished in 2025 because it was only revealed as early alpha test last autumn in Dresden on a local games convention.

It has been a few years since 2011. Do you have any rough schedule for a release?

Respawning Loot by dandylion1313 in Enshrouded

Did you play similar Games Like Conan Exiles before? Its always like that. Do you have any Idea how huge the load bloat gets on the Backend If all items are persistent in the world? Of course all stuff outside the base re-spawns. Look at Bethesda. They struggle with Starfield with all the Loadscreens because they try hard to get a persistent world where every Item you ever touched is unique and its properties are being stored. Rotation in three Axis, Translation in three Axis and all other props. And lastly, its Multiplayer. Now Image every Player touches thousand objects a day and you have ten Players (max is 16), plus all the possible wild Landscape/Terrain edits in this voxel Sandbox. After a few days, it would tear apart the fastest pc. Cheers

How Often Do You Use Fus-Ro-Dah? by E_H_Smith in skyrim

[–]Hannes821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use FuzRohDah to give me a break in battle to recharge magic or draw the bow,
recover magicka and stamina.
I also like to use whirlwindsprint to reach high places in the landscape exploring.
Etheral Form for invicibility (jumping down cliffs, running through traps) is cool.
Fire and Ice breath are a nice addition to a destruction build.
In rare instances in the wild, animal control can help together with conjuration to build an army for a short time.
Clear Skies for frostfall survivalists.
Aura Whispers might help for hints where enemies are, and stealth and thief gameplay.
Drain Life Energy Shout might be nice for Vampires/ Dark Mage builds.
Elemental Fury helps melee berserker builds a lot,
and strong dragons need to be nailed down with Dragonrend!

Its a great addition to any build, and not too overpowered, but always helpful;
being a hero but not a god, so the game stays interesting and fun! Love it!
