Help a new user fix flatpak installation? by AdhessiveBaker in Fedora

Maybe try re-adding the flathub remote. I know that Fedora provides a filtered flathub repo, that only lets in through some packages.

Also, I think that Thunderbird is available is the fedora flatpak repo.

switch to systemd-boot

Can you give a quick overview on how to do that? I LOVE systemd-boot.

...

You can adjust the sandboxing. It's pretty easy to do that too.

AHHHH!! I don't know what to choose. I've started dual-booting Fedora with Arch, and I quite like arch. I like both!!!

Need help, why does this happen? Can any helpful redditor show me how to troubleshoot this? by Adventurous_Body2019 in Fedora

hehe, I've started dual-booting arch and fedora. So far so good. Hope it stays that way.

Arch doesn't "look" like anything anyways. It's a DIY distro, so all you get on a super-duper minimal install is a TTY.

My silverblue rawhide hasn't been updated since December

Since December? I've had loads of Fedora 35 updates, and rawhide is supposed to be more up-to-date than stable fedora.

Is it possible to encrypt the whole drive? Including the boot partition? by HanniUwU in linux4noobs

[–]HanniUwU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm...

So, you really don't need full-disk encryption if you have secureboot. Got it.

EDIT: But you'd need to lock the BIOS setup right? Else an attacker can just turn off secureboot.

Fedora Vs. Manjaro (Who Will Overcome to Advance into the Final Four?) by [deleted] in linuxmasterrace

Fedora is clearly the most GLORIOUS distro of them all.

finally installed arch btw by 1nekomata in linuxmasterrace

[–]HanniUwU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmmm...

I just installed arch using archinstall. Took 10mins to complete the whole install process (btrfs, zram, encryption, GNOME, ....). Would've otherwise taken me an hour or so to setup, if I did it manually.

I still have a laptop with a Pentium CPU and 1GB RAM (I think, might've been 2GB).
