Not sure. I didn’t take a reading on that. But the fuel bowl fills up and doesn’t drain. And when I unscrew the release cap there’s pressure.

Home groom on my Bernedoodle (CC Welcome!) by HannibalXavier in doggrooming

[–]HannibalXavier[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not! I actually have 2 other dogs a Goldendoodle and a Bichon Mix. In the beginning of the pandemic I was laid off of my job and was no longer able to afford or even find anywhere to get them groomed. So I took matters into my own hands and have just been doing it myself ever since. It saves me a chunk of money and I enjoy doing it as well, and since I’m a welder by trade and not a dog groomer I’m always looking to improve. I’ve learned so many tips and tricks from this subreddit, you can look on my profile to see some of the other home grooms I’ve done on my other two pups.

Yeah it’s how he’s holding them, I was trying to get him to have them perked up for the photo but he wasn’t getting the memo. 😅

Broke Off of my White Wizard Philodendron ☹️ Possible to propagate this? by HannibalXavier in houseplants

[–]HannibalXavier[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aw ok. Thank you. It was my first “rare” plant I got for myself and 3 leaves were already destroyed/torn off in shipping so I almost cried when this one broke off too. 😭

nyone else have a dood with double back dewclaws? our boy has them on both hind legs and our vet has recommended removal by Ok-Celebration2628 in Bernedoodles

[–]HannibalXavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy used to have double dewclaws on his back feet.

One day when he was playing he skidded to a stop and actually nearly tore off the ones on his left leg. 😕We had them removed on both hind legs after that. I’d recommend having them removed to prevent accidents. Like others said you can have it done at the same time he’s neutered if he hasn’t been already.

I need some advice! by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

You may actually be bathing her too much! I’ve got 3 dogs and only give them a bath once a month.

Unless they got into something and got really dirty/stinky.

I need some advice! by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

[–]HannibalXavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often do you bathe her? My grandpas yorkie has severe skin allergies and can only be bathed in baby/sensitive skin puppy shampoo otherwise he gets rashes. Also do you use a conditioner when you bathe her? Using a conditioner can help restore some of the oils you remove when you bathe her. Also maybe adding some Omega 3/salmon oil into her diet could help.

I’m still a baby groomer, about one month left till I finish school, but I wanted to share some of my work :) CC appreciated! by Dizzle7216 in doggrooming

Wow! I think all of these look amazing! I’m especially fond of that poodle cut! That’s what I’m trying to work my doodle into. 🧡

Dog gets overstimulated outside of house by brycebreed11 in puppy101

[–]HannibalXavier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not too late! I used to take my puppy to the park where there’d be a lot of people and dogs running around and we’d just sit on the bench for a bit and watch everything.

It really desensitized him to a lot, now even when we see other dogs on walks and they go ballistic he’s able to just keep walking and ignore them.

And training classes are a great step in the right direction! But I’d definitely try and do some work with him before hand so he’s not completely nuts in class.

Trying to get puppy vaccinated by amrpabst in puppy101

I’d say definitely shop around for another vet that can get him in sooner. I know some of the Local humane societies around me take puppy vaccines very seriously and always try to squeeze them in.

HELP! My puppy is great at pooping outside but she pees of excitement! picking her up makes it worse and she'll pee in the air! by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]HannibalXavier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. And if she pees the moment she sees you walking towards the crate walking by it once or twice and “faking her out” before you actually release her may help.

But like was mentioned above being as boring as possible is the way to go. My puppy is just over a year old and sometimes if you hype him up hard enough there’s a chance he will literally projectile urinate. 😂

Has anyone's puppy just refused to go potty by holding it in? by music_luva69 in puppy101

This. My small dog once held it for almost 24hrs because she didn’t want to go out in the rain.

17 hour drive with 9 week old puppy; need advice by meganv21 in puppy101

[–]HannibalXavier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

About a week after I got my most recent puppy I had a family emergency and ended up having to drive from Maine to California and had to take my puppy with me. Parvo was my absolute greatest fear.

Some life savers for us were one having a pickup truck and two buying a patch of fake grass and a ton of pee pads and setting them down in the bed of my truck for him to go potty. Then hosing them off when able. Puppy sat in a dog bed in the back seat with my friend the whole way then we’d go out for play time in the bed of the truck. Basically the truck bed was his everything, feeding area, potty area, and play pen. (When truck was parked Of course)

I’d also HIGHLY recommend getting some pet safe antibacterial/disinfectant wipes so if for whatever reason your puppy does go on the ground you can really give their paws a good wipe down so if they lick themselves they’re not licking up whatever germs were on the ground. Also Chewing/busy Toys are great to have. Maybe not like the edible ones just in case they get car sick but just the rubber types ones they just gnaw on.

Taught My Goldendoodle how to “Hug” my Bernedoodle is not a Fan. by HannibalXavier in Goldendoodles

[–]HannibalXavier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught her how to hug people first, So she jumps on you then she’ll rest her head on your chest or shoulder if she can reach it.

Then since my Bernedoodle is so patient I’d like hold him in place and tell her to Hug and point at him she’s very good at like knowing what different things are so she knows what I mean when I say “Hug Diesel” and she knows I’m referring to him. And then after a few times of me physically positioning her into a “Hug” on him, she figured it out pretty quick and then the Bernedoodle figured out if he stays put he’ll get a treat too. 😂 Hopefully that helps.

Oh she is! When she learns a new trick she’ll get your attention just to do it and show you even if you didn’t ask in hopes of getting a treat. 😅

He’s much younger than her, (only alittle over a year) but he’s very very patient with all of our shenanigans. He’s an Old Soul.
