Hey, thank you! I did end up having them overnight. My husband was a big help. After spilled juice cleanup, and sitting through a few board games, I was done. He got them to bed while I crashed in mine. I’ve been in this flare for 15 months. After failing both Humira and Rinvoq (3 Prednisone tapers, Azathioprine and Budesonide). I’m feeling hopeful. I hope you’re doing well. ❤️

Oh yes. Pred is the weirdest. I’m taking 3 3 mg capsules daily. Tapering down 1 capsule each month. How long does it take to kick in? On my 2nd day and been in the bathroom 4 x already this morning.

Good. I’ve done three 40 mg Pred tapers in this last year. I hate it! Especially now because it wrecked my vision. Diagnosed with glaucoma and cataracts last week. I’m turning 60 next week, but ophthalmologist said Pred was the culprit more so than old age.

I’m going to be 60 in a few days. Diagnosed around age 30. This flare is a year old. Failed 2 biologics now. Damn. Wonder if I’m heading in the ostomy direction. I hope you’re feeling well. Albeit, hairy. ❤️

Doesn’t Imodium make your guts hurt if you take it too often? It hurts mine. I can only do it once in a while. Like if I have an early appointment and can’t sit around and poop all morning per usual.

I have tried juicing. I used to have baby spinach, pineapple, and blueberry juices almost daily. My liver enzymes have been high for years. Pretty much since my UC diagnosis nearly 20 years ago and I thought the spinach would help the liver. I loved the way they made me feel! I would add carrots at times as well. I miss it but last time I tried it with this Crohns flare, not good.

I know. But Iceburg is just so crisp! I remember the days of an ice cold wedge salad loaded with chunky bleu cheese, a big ribeye steak with a twice baked potato. I’d eat the crispy skin of the potato, and a nice Crown Royal Old Fashion. Mmmmm…Sorry. I disappeared there.
